The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Plus, there was air conditioning, so you could eat comfortably in the hot summer.

A must-try, mystical experience: the food is as good as the place is filthy. Authentic, flavorful oriental dishes. It's almost impossible to interact with the Chinese staff: they speak almost no English. Service is lightning-fast, seating is limited. Everyone ate like a water pump, with great flavor and no regard for appearances. No one at the table had napkins.

The beef with onions is incredible. The portion is generous! I'll definitely make it again.

A wonderful discovery in this Asian neighborhood of Belleville. The Chinese canteen seems to be a popular spot, as we had to wait a bit before getting a table. The portions are very generous, especially the chili, and there are many interesting choices on the menu. Everything looks delicious and seems very fresh, if not homemade! The bao buns are exceptional and well-filled, the Szechuan beef is very good, although quite spicy, and the other dishes are also bursting with flavor! I hope you're not looking for comfort and quiet, because this isn't the place for you. However, if you want to have a good time with friends and enjoy delicious Chinese food while sipping a large Tsingtao beer, you've found the perfect spot 😉 A word of caution for vegetarians: the dishes are limited in quantity, so you might not find what you're looking for.

Very good, plenty of choice and served very quickly

A very good experience at the Chinese Canteen; the dishes are good, served in generous portions, and very good value for money. Special mention for the pork baozi at €1.50 which are truly delicious. There's room even on a Saturday night, I recommend it!

We ate for three people, and everything was perfect. The dishes were served in under five minutes. The baozi are €1.50 and are by far the best I've ever had. The dishes are authentic and delicious. I highly recommend it and I'm making a note of this address to come back next time! The servers are friendly and helpful.
