Winfield sur Pau

This is a bar that knows how to serve its customers! Thanks to Sébastien for his warm and very professional welcome. On a business trip to Pau, the city where I grew up and from which I long ago moved, I came back to the place where, as a high school student, I used to grab a coffee between noon and 2 p.m. Back then, it was called Le Vaudeville, with its red carpet and French billiards tables for everyone to play... Anyway, here I am again at the Winfield, on a weekday evening, alone and happy to be back in my childhood and early adulthood haunts. So, nothing's changed, it's not the cheapest bistro around. But now I'm earning a living, so it matters less. The service is impeccable, attentive, and friendly, the atmosphere relaxed and convivial. If you're passing through Pau and the Beth Ceu de Pau honors you, stop by for a drink; the view is splendid, the welcome is warm, and relaxation is guaranteed. I'll be back, of course!

Big shout out to Thomas the goat.

Good pub with a good atmosphere

Nice place, but no menu when you arrive. You have to guess what drinks are available… €3.50 for a strawberry soda that doesn't even fill the glass is a bit pricey in Macron's France. I asked for a carafe of water, they didn't have any, they told me they'd bring me a glass of water… I'm still waiting. I'm fed up with bars never bringing the water I ask for just because it's not profitable. A shame in this heat.

A quality bar, Gégé, Quentin, nothing but machines, I love them, don't change!

I've never seen such a good bar, the service is fast and efficient, the cocktails are great, and the servers are super friendly. I highly recommend it.
