One of the best Chinese hot pot restaurants in Paris! We've tried several, but they're either à la carte (and therefore quickly too expensive), or all-you-can-eat buffets with limited choices. Here, it's an all-you-can-eat buffet for €28 per person (€30 per person with grilled meat), with a wide variety of choices (lots of vegetables, skewers, tripe, octopus, fish, all kinds of dumplings, seafood, etc.) and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. Several types of broth are available (classic, spicy, Cantonese satay, Malaysian satay, tomato, etc.). Sauces are also unlimited with a vast selection. There are different flavors of ice cream for dessert, included in the menu. They're not the best, but they're a delicious treat and refreshing after the hot pot!

Perfect for a delicious Chinese fondue. You help yourself to a variety of fresh vegetables and meats, just like at home, in a Chinese atmosphere that makes you forget you're in Paris. The warm and attentive service from the staff completes an evening that isn't excessively expensive, given that everything is all-you-can-eat.

We booked for 14 people to celebrate new year with an all-you-can-eat chinese fondue. It was a very great experiment. A two-hour long brunch with pretty red panda apron for the clumsy ones and the Melona mango ice cream was such an exquisite dessert ! 😋🤩🥳🥰

We were a group of 11. The combination of hot pot and grill is simply brilliant: the freedom to choose whatever you want is a real plus. There was a vegetarian in our group who absolutely loved the hot pot and the wide variety of vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, tofu, and more. The dessert selection is limited to ice cream. It's a shame there aren't more options. The staff regularly checks around the tables to make sure everything is alright. We received a warm welcome. I recommend booking in advance because it fills up very quickly!

Chez Chung

05/12/2025: We ate here last night while staying at the Hyatt Regency Etoile in Paris. The food was so good! We had egg rolls, fried shrimp and dumplings for appetizers and then shared a bowl of the duck soup (so good and on a cold night it sure hit the spot!) Topped it off with green teas ice cream. I would definitely recommend for a very reasonably priced and tasty meal!

18/02/2026: We come often and it's always packed, so be sure to book on weekends. The rice is unlimited, which is rare in Paris. The chicken with tripe and taro (you have to book) is really worth it; the taro is incredibly tender. The rabbit is good and boneless, perfect if you like spicy food. The new duck is also excellent, ideal with a drink.
16/02/2026: Always a pleasure to come back to DAO! When we’re busy, cooking is simply not an option, so we gather here for a real Sichuan dinner with friends. Even on a rainy Paris day, the window-side table felt warm and cozy. The shuizhuyu is huge and impressive: ultra-tender fish, generous Sichuan pepper and chili, nicely spicy without being overwhelmingly numbing. The tofu with beef is silky and full of flavor. The sautéed green beans are perfectly cooked, dry-fried and very savory. Special mention for the new “can yi kan ya” with its cumin barbecue flavor, perfect for sharing. And the freshly fried brown sugar pumpkin cakes are amazing. A reliable go-to spot in Paris 13!
