14/11/2025: I live just a block away, and LOUTSA Lyon Masséna has become part of my weekly routine since we moved to Lyon over a year ago. My husband and I buy all our beans here, and the quality is always spot-on.
The new manager, Jorge, has genuinely elevated the experience this fall. He talks about roasting the way a sommelier talks about wine: precise, thoughtful, and clearly passionate. Since both my husband and I work in the wine world, we appreciate that level of detail. It’s rare to meet someone who can connect flavor, process, and craft so naturally.
For me, this café is my escape from working at home. I come in for a flat white, settle into a corner, and read, journal, or catch up on emails. It’s become my reset button. Jorge is a calm, kind presence who seems to sense what each customer needs.
And my teenage son (who takes chai lattes very seriously) insists LOUTSA Masséna makes the best chai in the city. I drag him to coffee shops constantly, so his verdict actually carries weight.
This is exactly what a neighborhood coffee shop should be: warm, consistent, and run by people who care about what they do.
