15/05/2026: The welcome was lovely, everything started so well. The order was taken, and the glass of white wine was awful for €3 or €5. You can find good bottles of sweet or semi-dry wine elsewhere. Then came the first misstep: the waiter didn't ask how I wanted my steak cooked for a simple burger, and when I asked if it was possible to change the sauce, he told me I'd have to figure out how to add it myself… The burger arrived, the steak barely cooked, still pink. Very disappointed. The waitress took my plate back, and I had to wait 10 or 15 minutes for it to be cooked again, which was awful… My friend's mussels were good, served on a simple plate and not in a pot. I'd never seen that before, but there's a first time for everything, lol. There were about ten of them, practically fighting over each other, with three or four closed for €20. It's a bit shameful to serve that by the sea. The service itself was good, with a young, tattooed woman who was professional, dynamic, and smiling—excellent—and a rather older man who was also excellent. Unfortunately, the manager was completely clueless, just talking nonsense and making a series of... Going back and forth with nothing in hand, giving orders, yelling at a young waiter in front of the customers, letting the young waitress juggle heavy trays, the manager even taking quick phone calls—in short, someone who is completely unprofessional and doesn't know how to manage a team. Unfortunately, don't waste your time and money in this phony restaurant. For some, it's a daily grind, but for the cook, it's a daily grind. K.O., give up your spot, it's better, funny…
13/05/2026: Please run away! Don't waste your money on food straight from the supermarket.
First, they offer a dessert with the children's menu, which we order right away, and when it comes to dessert, there's no dessert left. Okay, fine, we understand, we're not going to quibble, but in the end, no goodwill gesture, no discount.
Then, all the dishes arrived COLD. When you order fries in a restaurant and they arrive cold, that tells you something's up. They arrived cold and hard. Were they cooked and recooked? No one will ever know.
In one of our so-called homemade mashed potatoes, we found a hair.
In our sautéed mushrooms, we found a stone.
And with all that, not a discount, not a gesture of goodwill.
The fritto misto was inedible, the mixed seafood grill smelled like spoiled fish (stagnant seawater, yuck!). We've eaten at this restaurant several times and never had a problem. But since the management changed, it's disgusting.
It's May 13, 2026, for goodness sake, go eat somewhere else, especially considering the prices.

24/05/2026: The setting and restaurant are pleasant, with a beautiful seaside view – everything to please! However, the wait time and the kitchen's hygiene leave much to be desired. Hot dishes were served cold, while most of the desserts were frozen and tasteless! Furthermore, we ordered chocolate fondant cakes at €10.90 each, which were taken out of the freezer, unwrapped in front of us, microwaved, and then placed directly in the waiter's hands (without gloves)!! It's common for food to be frozen in restaurants, but they should make an effort not to show it to the customer, or at least mention it. Nevertheless, I would like to thank Morgane for her attentive and caring service throughout the evening. The restaurant has potential but leaves much to be desired; it's a shame…
24/05/2026: We came to this restaurant with two friends to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived, a young woman took our order and served us three Cokes.
After waiting for about 40 minutes, we started to get impatient, especially since the restaurant was practically empty. We really felt like we'd been forgotten; the staff seemed to be taking care of everyone except our table.
After waiting an hour (from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm without a single dish being served), we asked if this was normal. A waitress told us it would arrive immediately. We waited another 20 minutes without receiving anything.
A staff member finally came to explain that our order had "gotten lost between the patio and the kitchen" and that no food had been prepared, but that we were a priority and it would arrive right away.
After another 15 minutes without any further news, we decided to leave and eat somewhere else. We explained the situation to the owner, who apologized, saying he wasn't aware of it. We also mentioned that we had three Cokes, which he kindly decided to offer us free of charge.
As we were leaving the restaurant, a waitress chased us down the street for about 200 meters demanding payment for our drinks, which was very unpleasant.
An extremely disappointing experience. Fortunately, the restaurant "DA CASOTTI" a little further down the street saved our evening.

12/12/2025: I ordered an American-style sandwich to go.
I asked for cheese inside; apparently it was an extra €2, but no one mentioned it when I ordered. And then they forgot it.
The sandwich was bland, the meat was overcooked and dry, the fries were soggy and squashed into the sandwich—they were like mashed potatoes. Even the sauce was curdled and sour. I don't recommend it.

31/05/2026: There were four of us for Mother's Day... a DISASTER!!! It's the first time in my life I've been served like this!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS... change of ownership... no organization whatsoever. We arrived at 12:40 PM, the menu arrived at 1:30 PM, drinks were served at 2:00 PM, and our main courses at 2:45 PM... the food was really bad, no water, no bread, and people were leaving minute by minute!!! I asked for the manager several times, but he NEVER came!!!! Everyone asked for him, but he preferred to hide in the back. Three overwhelmed waiters, the poor things were completely lost... they were doing their best, but it was IMPOSSIBLE!!! So, no dessert, but a bill that was more than exorbitant. What a shame... they're off to a very, very bad start to their season, and this is just the beginning!!!
31/05/2026: APPALLING SERVICE AND FOOD.
The wait was interminable. We had a reservation for four, which we mentioned upon arrival. They took away a place setting and a menu for no reason... we had to wait an hour before finally getting to a server to order. We asked for an extra glass and a menu (the ones that had been taken away), and the server questioned my request as if we had already received them!
The first two hot courses arrived after another 45 minutes. We had to ask inside (because no server came to see us). The other two cold dishes arrived two minutes later and were hot, probably forgotten in the kitchen? Let's hope we don't get sick from the salmon tartare and the carpaccio... The food was very poor and far too expensive for the quality/quantity. While the setting and decor are nice, it's incredibly disappointing.
It's utterly depressing. No gesture of goodwill after comments made during payment, even though ALL THE CUSTOMERS COMPLAINED and most left. We heard them at other tables, and they THEMSELVES ADMITTED IT. RUN AWAY.

20/09/2024: Nous avons vraiment été séduits par cet endroit, tant par le cadre charmant, en bord de nive, que par l’accueil chaleureux des patrons.
Sans oublier évidemment les plats délicieux avec une cuisine maison et des produits frais.
Une super adresse à Bayonne, nous y reviendrons avec plaisir !

18/07/2024: Nous sommes un groupe d’amis qui avons l’habitude d’aller dans ce restaurant et aujourd’hui nous fêtions l’anniversaire de l’un de nous ; rien à dire sur le repas en particulier mais un vrai manque de sympathie au niveau du service, pas un mot agréable ; nous n’avons même pas eu droit au limoncello !!! Soyez assuré que nous nous en souviendrons lors de nos prochaines rencontres.

22/07/2024: Si j’étais italien, j’aurai honte
Sombre, portions d’enfant (en fait y’a autant de pâtes que dans un plat d’enfant mais ça coûte 4 fois plus cher), prix délirants, un vigile qui me fonce dessus alors que j’ai des assiettes dans les mains et qui me parle mal parce que je ne me suis pas écarté (la meilleure !).
J’ai voulu appeler un manager mais la patronne n’a pas voulu 😀
Et si vous préférez manger dehors, vous aurez la vue et l’odeur de la station d’épuration, magnifique !
J’ai ajouté 1 étoile pour le reste du staff plus sympathique que la personne mentionnée plus haut.

22/07/2024: Ce jour un serveur débarrasse mon plateau alors que je venais de lui dire que je n'avais pas terminé. Je me lève récupérer un produit et je reviens à ma table, je constate que le plateau a été débarrassé. Je vais voir un des responsables au bar habillé en chemise verte, en expliquant que mon verre plein de limonade à été débarrassé et celui-ci en guise de réponse ne se gêne pas de se moquer de moi et me remets un verre vide remplis de glaçons !! Une erreur ça peut arriver mais se moquer de ses clients c'est inadmissible. Au prix de la bouteille de limonade !! Un manque de savoir être visiblement ! Je venais jusqu'à 2 fois par mois en famille je n'y mettrais plus un pied !
