26/02/2026: A very pleasant surprise to discover this restaurant. Pierre Jean, our host at our room in Peyriac, raved about it. A masterful menu with excellent value for money. The owner, whom I'll call "Octopus Man" 😅, because he's always on the go ☝️, even takes the time to greet the customers. He's a machine. Just a small suggestion, and this is just my opinion: some background music and placemats would be even better. Best of luck and thank you for the lemon verbena sake 😜

A warm welcome and you feel perfectly at ease thanks to the owners who are passionate about their work. We chose this restaurant based on online reviews, and we recommend it 100%: 5 stars for the welcome, 5 stars for the food, and 5 stars for the atmosphere. A family-run restaurant serving local, home-style cuisine with hearty and delicious dishes. Thank you for your professionalism and for the pleasure of sharing good French food. They offer a suitable and generous children's meal at a very reasonable price. We will definitely return to this restaurant whenever we are in Castelnaudary.

05/04/2026: The staff were lovely. They spoke Spanish and were very friendly. They even left the kitchen open a little longer for us because we arrived late. The salad was amazing! A great place to eat in the area, quiet and with a friendly, family atmosphere.

The pizzas are excellent and very generous, the service is incredible, exceptionally kind, and they took great care of our daughter so she could also have a wonderful time. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back! Thank you

22/10/2025: Such an amazing experience. Liz and Joe were the most gracious hosts and treated my partner and I exceptionally. With an incredibly informative tour, exceptional food and world class wine. Anything written in this review doesn't do the evening we spent with them enough credit to an unforgettable night and lovley people. If we ever have the opportunity of being in the region again, we will be returning.

24/09/2025: Winery visit: it is impossible to overstate the warmth of hospitality of Joe and Liz! We arrived as strangers, and left feeling like family. The winery tour was everything we could have hoped for: starting with a chilled glass of white on the terrace overlooking the hills, tasting grapes on the vine about to be harvested, a tour of the equipment, pouring wines straight from the tank and dipping a cask, with Joe telling anecdotes about the history as well as explaining how it’s done. Finally Liz’s amazing and generous cooking in their beautiful dining room, including her home-cured salmon. She even tweaked the menu to ensure that our young Asian friends got a home-cooked rice dish. Convivial doesn’t begin to describe it. Thankfully, Liz also arranged with our taxi driver to come back rather later than originally planned 😂. Practical note: it’s about 20 minutes drive from Carcassonne and they can recommend taxi drivers.

25/03/2026: Very nice little place in a very nice little town. The food is amazing, and so are the hosts. There is a homey atmosphere of long-lost local inns, definitely recommended and a place i will definitely go back to!!

25/03/2026: Really cool, laidback atmosphere. The hosts are very warm and welcoming, and - most importantly - the food is very good. Would absolutely come back next time I am in the neigbourhood of Carcassonne or Toulouse.
