12/08/2026: Even though the kitchen was closing, they welcomed us with a generous and excellent platter of cold cuts and cheeses, a sardine appetizer, and to finish, a delicious chocolate and caramel ganache. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were attentive. Highly recommended.

29/08/2025: A beer menu that changes regularly with consistently excellent choices. If making a decision is difficult, no problem! A tasting menu is available, and the servers' recommendations are always helpful. They know their products well, and chatting with them is always a pleasure.
A very pleasant place to have a drink, but the raclette evening is also worth checking out. A great deal offering excellent value for money and service.

I've been wanting to come and eat real couscous for ages, and the menu is really great, the restrooms are spotless, the service is excellent, the decor is fantastic, and best of all are the banquettes! Yes, the banquettes! Come and try them out over a meal; they're so comfortable you won't want to leave. Anyway, back to work! Well done to you all, keep it up!

01/08/2026: I had a taco here, and frankly, it wasn't worth the rating. I think we've started overrating fast food places, even though some restaurants are very good. The market needs regulation so we can all make ends meet. This taco was really not great.

18/07/2026: Barely 10am and already very salty or uncleaned from the day before. The toilets are a disgrace.
18/07/2026: McDonald's is filthy. Even at 9:30 am, all the dirty cutlery from the previous day is still there, in addition to the trays left by customers the night before.
The restrooms are in a deplorable state. The smell is awful, there's toilet paper everywhere, you don't even know where to put your feet. The toilets are full of toilet paper, and the sink hasn't been cleaned either! I don't think the employees have been in there for a while! Shameful.
I can't even imagine what the kitchen is like.

09/06/2026: ⭐⭐ 2/5 — Beautiful historic setting, but 100% outsourced catalog. The shop located under the arcades of Rue Royale is aesthetically remarkable, and the service is perfectly adequate. However, an analysis of the products reveals a blatant lack of local authenticity. Although the brand claims to be the "oldest chocolate shop in Orléans since 1760," it no longer makes its own products. The online catalog and the specialties offered in-store (notably the chocolate crottins and camemberts) are perfect clones, down to the last cent, of the product descriptions of Maison Mercier, based in the Cher region. The descriptions and prices are exactly the same. 😱 The chocolates are objectively of good quality, but if your goal is to consume or give authentic, handcrafted chocolate, made in the pure Orléans tradition and crafted locally, it is better to turn to the city's independent artisans.
Update following the owner's official response: Rating maintained (2/5). So be it: this is not "subcontracting" in the strict sense, but rather integration by Maison Mercier, which crafts its products in its own workshops in Baugy, in the Cher department (18). In terms of customer experience and transparency, the fundamental problem remains unchanged. The major historical claim displayed in the window—"Oldest chocolate shop in Orléans since 1760"—serves as a marketing facade. The Orléans identity is disconnected from the reality of production: 100% of the catalog, price lists, and product descriptions are exact replicas of a brand from another department. Similar to the labeling irregularities observed in other local food sectors (such as honey), the deliberate maintenance of this geographical ambiguity in the shop—without explicit display of the origin at the time of purchase—biases consumer consent. The craftsmanship remains artisanal and of high quality, but the added value is no longer local to Orléans. For chocolate truly made on-site by independent local artisans, my initial advice remains the same.

19/07/2026: The waitress quoted us €3.50 per glass, but when it came time to pay, we were quoted a different price, and on top of that, we had to go back to the bar to get our change, which wasn't given to us... Really strange and not right.

I came for a drink with my sister, her friend, and my daughter. There were four of us, and we all ordered drinks.
Given the recent heatwave, a water bottle was on our table. The manager came over and asked us to remove it, in a very unpleasant tone. When we asked her why, she replied that we didn't bring our own bread to a restaurant, a completely irrelevant comparison.
Despite the fact that we were customers, she asked us if we wanted to pay and made it very clear that we should leave, even though we hadn't finished our drinks.
She even took our drinks away.
Then she told us it wasn't necessary to pay.
We said we wanted to finish and pay.
A customer seated next to us, shocked by the scene and who had just sat down to order, intervened to denounce her lack of respect and stated that she wasn't leaving. The manager simply replied, "Have a nice day." "
It is truly regrettable that an establishment in downtown Orléans is managed with such a lack of respect for its customers. A thorough review of customer service and customer relations is more than necessary."
