30/11/2025: A very good dinner. Offering dishes from the North of France is a challenge in such a gastronomic region. After a day in the cold gardening, I needed a hearty meal: I was served a generous and delicious Welsh rarebit. I had trouble finishing it! The service was friendly and unpretentious. A great place to eat well without breaking the bank. I'll be back to try the other dishes from the North, or even the pizzas, which looked delicious and smelled wonderful.

01/10/2025: Very warm interior, with a beautifully decorated enclosed terrace. Welcoming managers. Live music evenings with different themes to keep you dancing until closing time. Tapas platters 🍷👌

28/09/2025: A friendly and welcoming place. The food is good, and the beers are delicious. The establishment often hosts concerts and dance parties (check their schedule). I highly recommend it if you're passing through Gourdon or the surrounding area 👌👌

09/08/2025: Very nice grocery store and restaurant, in a pretty village, opposite a beautiful church. The owner is very friendly, and since we were just passing through, we ordered the very generous and delicious charcuterie platter. A great and beautiful place, and clearly on the Way of St. James...

08/11/2025: Delicious and generous portions. Excellent lamb chops, grilled on the outside and meltingly tender on the inside. Perfectly cooked. Very pleasant service. A welcoming atmosphere.

09/10/2025: We had a very enjoyable stay here. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and dinner in their restaurant was great. Highly recommend for the proximity to Pech-Merle cave and charming local villages.

05/10/2025: We loved the dinner; it was really good (cave menu). The view and the terrace were fantastic. The room was nicely decorated, with a small balcony overlooking the Célé. However, there was no elevator (note for those who have difficulty climbing stairs). On the other hand, the reception area needs to be improved; it wasn't very pleasant. It's probably the end of the season, perhaps... Our bathtub flooded the bathroom (the window seal no longer works?). A positive: a separate toilet. Good breakfast.

20/09/2025: We ate at La Gabare last night with my partner and her mother. It's always so good and plentiful. The restaurant is for sale, I hope it's just a passing idea because we would miss the kindness, the atmosphere, the quality of the dishes and their great generosity. It's the second time I've had the mountain burger and I'm enjoying it so much that I hope to be able to eat more next year. And if the restaurant sells anyway, we'll follow Cathy, the owner, in her projects which we hope won't be too far off.

15/09/2025: Very pleasant welcome, restaurant with a view of the Dordogne. I ordered the vegan plate ☺️ a killer with the mint sauce I loved it. Very generous and very tasty plate. I highly recommend it
