Very warm welcome.
Local products, home-made cuisine.
Very good value for money.
The hot goat cheese with honey is very tasty and its accompaniment is hearty.
The lamb shank is very good.
Desserts not tested because we were full.
20/09/2024: During a cycling trip we stayed there for one night. Ideally located in the heart of St Affrique, you will first be pleasantly welcomed by the owners whose hotel sense is not an empty word.
Pretty little rooms recently renovated with pleasant and neat decoration, air conditioning, very good bedding and a beautiful bathroom. A closed garage for our bikes.
An excellent restaurant with tasty cuisine and a service team attentive to the smooth running of your meal.
A pleasant breakfast to get you back on the road.
If you are in St Affrique, look no further, this is the place to stay!

10/08/2025: I don't really like to rush the ambulance, but it was a truly disastrous experience.
Dinner menu €15.50.
Starter: 5 spring rolls, piping hot, not good, and a hair stuck inside one of the three I ate.
Then caramel pork. Plain rice that was from a previous service, but above all, the dish was 10 times too salty, inedible.
I didn't say anything about the hair. I tried to eat the caramel pork, but after 3/4 bites and as many glasses of water, I gave up. I told the owner, and he said it happens when you're not used to Asian food 😆😆😆
I wanted some ice cream to soothe my mouth, but I didn't have time to ask before he brought me nougat (I had mentioned this choice when I ordered, but it wasn't final), so I stopped for fear of breaking a tooth.
Disastrous outcome: even if you have nothing to eat, find another place.

Ris d'agneau cuisson impeccable bien assaisonnée persillade présente mais pas trop par contre dommage d'avoir des frites surgelées en accompagnement
Plateau fromage un peu famélique

06/10/2024: Nous avons poussé la porte du Pégase car il a le particularisme d'être le seul restaurant ouvert à Sainte Affrique le lundi soir...
Il s'agit d'une brasserie classique avec des prix dans la norme.
Nous avons été accueillis par une jeune serveuse aimable.
La nourriture a une qualité variable selon ce que vous prenez.
La pascade au roquefort en entrée est bonne (spécialité locale). Ça tient au corps, je vous préviens.
La tagliatelle carbonara est très bonne (c'est une carbonara à la française, je précise) avec plein de lardons (qui s'étaient tous cachés pour la photo) et de crème fraiche, un oeuf, du râpé, bref tout ce qu'il faut, le tout en abondance.
Le confit de canard frites par contre est moyen, avec une viande moyenne et des frites du genre de McDonald.
