23/01/2026: For months I'd been saying I needed to eat at this restaurant, and I regret not having gone sooner. It's run by a family of passionate people, whose love for quality ingredients shines through in every dish, right down to the wine and spirits selection. I didn't have time to photograph the homemade venison terrine (it was far too amazing to wait to dig in), nor the wood-fired flank steak that melted in my mouth like butter 🫣. This restaurant is a little gem, the kind I love discovering. I left with a "wow" and a firm intention to return. I have one last recommendation: finish on a sweet note with the "café gourmand" (a selection of small desserts served with coffee). Each dessert is a surprise. The citrus rice pudding quenelle 😍 and the crème brûlée's melt-in-your-mouth texture, which arrives glowing before your eyes, not to mention the beer tart. Absolutely flawless. And here I say to our server: the amber gin will undoubtedly be my discovery of 2026. THANK YOU for this wonderful experience at your restaurant. I can't wait to come back and discover what's next!

06/02/2026: The first time I reviewed Léon was 14 years ago, back when the Ardennes mussels cost €14.90, were enormous (Dutch style?), plump, and the portions were generous, except for the fries... We came on average once every two months... the food was excellent. And then, the years went by, the prices increased (like everywhere else), but the portions decreased. Fortunately, the recipes that made the chain successful are still there, and the restaurant has been revitalized (new decor, branding, etc.). Some really good new dishes have been added to the menu, with some pleasant surprises to the chain's credit. But in the end, I'm giving it 3 stars, no more, because for €35 per person, including a small fried fish platter, an Ardennes-style casserole, an ice cream sundae, and sparkling water for two, I'm sorry, but for less money and much better quality with a bit more quantity, I can find a better deal at a traditional restaurant that's been around for 20 years not far from here (starter, main course, dessert, and drink). It's worth noting that the service at this Léon Wasquehal is very good, no complaints there. The restaurant is clean and bright. The atmosphere isn't anything special in winter, but in the early evenings of summer, they sometimes have drinks with live music, which is nice because you can extend your drinks into dinner. I take my hat off to the Exotica passion coupe (very well thought out with coconut ice cream coated in passion fruit compote at the bottom, then pineapple sorbet, then mascarpone with whipped cream and grated coconut + palm), a killer in the mouth, effective sweet and tangy.

01/02/2026: We do not recommend this restaurant. The service was impeccable, the waiter welcoming and attentive. The food and cocktails were generally enjoyable. My one-star rating stems from the outrageous value for money. The cocktail was filled with crushed fat, completely filling the glass, so there was very little "liquid" per glass. The aperitif was absolutely meager. The mussels were insufficient for an adult; I left my main course feeling as hungry as when I arrived, even though I ate the bread. €19 for mussels is outrageous. My partner ordered salmon fish and chips. The portion was ridiculously small (two tiny salmon fillets), a handful of fries, all for 20 euros... The "XL" waffle with hazelnut chocolate was the same size as the other waffles... Overall, our entire table (more than 10 people) was disappointed with the meal, as the price was so high compared to the portions served. I will never return to this restaurant and absolutely do not recommend it. It's a shame because the food and service are decent.

10/07/2025: Rinse the beer glass with water that was still in it (my napkin was even brown after drying it...). The food presentation is poor, and the meat isn't cooked properly. Honestly, this must be the least pleasant Buffalo restaurant I've ever visited. The establishment isn't very clean. The service, at least, is pleasant.

16/01/2026: A very decent little pizzeria with reasonable prices. It's clean. Comfortable seats. The heating is a bit lacking. No alcoholic drinks. We'd happily go back.

27/06/2025: Not at all business-like. Rib-eye steak, boneless and long, in short, a sirloin steak far from the indicated weight. The requested doneness was medium rare, but it arrived well-cooked. And when it was indicated, they told you it was thick and they couldn't replace it because it was the last one! A bit much for a Friday night at 8 p.m. when the main course is the rib-eye steak!! And to top it all off, despite the fact that it was indicated, there was no commercial gesture made on the bill. The moral of the story is, "Come eat and shut up, but pay!" Too bad we can't give 0 stars!!

17/06/2025: Small chip shop on the corner, with a restaurant behind it. The fries were good and tasty; we had fries for three and could have fed five of them. The price was reasonable, too.

18/02/2026: Not great. The meal arrived cold, some buffet items were swimming in who-knows-what. My sister's chicken with Maroilles cheese was bad, the sauce was watery, my brother-in-law's steak was all gristle, the pepper sauce had no flavor. My meal arrived cold, my goddaughter never got her green beans... in short, I don't recommend it.

24/01/2026: We had a wonderful evening at the tavern. The Friday menu with drinks included is fantastic! The four courses to choose from were delicious. There were eight of us, and everyone found something they loved. The friendly service is always impeccable! As a bonus, we got a tour of the second dining room and the garden—we can't wait for warmer weather! Whether you're at the front or the back, the restaurant is very welcoming. A very pleasant evening! Thank you.

26/02/2026: Disappointed by the product. It was burnt twice, both times the food tasted scorched. It wasn't a cooking issue, just too rushed and poorly executed.

24/02/2026: I'm quite used to the Crocodile chain, but this was my first time at this location: As for the service, our table was cleaned and we were seated fairly quickly, which I found very good. However, the attendant cleaned the booths without drying them, and we found ourselves without realizing it had wet bottoms. Luckily, we got up quickly, and a young cook came by and gave us towels to dry the booths at our request. We had barely sat down after this initial surprise when the waitress came over less than two minutes later and asked, "What would you like?" A little taken aback by the approach, we said, "Three menus: starter, main course, dessert," to which she curtly replied, "What meal?" Anyway, we ordered our starters from the buffet without any problems. The main courses arrived with a well-known issue, one that had already been reported by the Crocodile chain: the steaks were cooked between rare and medium, but the top and bottom were charred black. We reported this to a waitress who replied, "Okay," and cleared the plates immediately. We ordered the dessert buffet, which had some issues with the descriptions, but luckily we all enjoyed it. We went to the till and explained the problem with the steak. He told us, "You should have said something." We mentioned that we had, but he didn't seem to care... to which he replied, "93 euros, please." Frankly, this is the absolute worst. The respect and service overall need improvement. It's bordering on disrespectful to the customer. They work for their money; the rest is just awful service! The food remains the same problem with the Crocodile range: the meat is often undercooked.
