05/05/2024: 1st and last visit to this establishment, a reservation for 9:15 p.m., pick-up at 10:00 p.m., extremely fast ordering but dishes which arrive before the aperitif, finally to crown the tour, my dish (a wlesh) which arrives lukewarm, return to the kitchen, and to top it off, the manager of the establishment that I asked to see has nothing to do with it since she spends her evening drinking champagne with customers. Flee this sea establishment......

04/04/2024: Unpleasant waitress, and as soon as you are seated for the aperitif, 15 minutes after good evening again can I send the dishes? Um no we have an aperitif...., 15 min later it's good can I send it? No we will take the starter ma'am, 15 min later, it's good lol, yes sent for the children so. 15 min later my wife asks to send her dish, the waitress says no if I send I will send the 3 dishes , there were 2 dishes left, sent after madam, me and my cousin. Are you in a hurry or what? It was a Thursday, not many people in the restaurant, in short, we dmd the 3 main menu... Poorly cooked ribs, tough meat..., not very good. In short, we won't try anymore on Englos.😤😤

29/04/2024: I had shunned it for a few years because of the classic buffet offering, well that has changed and I must say that it was a great idea!!! A country regularly in the spotlight, really nice, as for the super pleasant welcome there is really nothing to complain about, I will definitely go back 🤗😉👍

11/10/2023: Total SCAM the floor is slippery I thought I was at the ice rink, the table was oily I didn't know that you had to order 1 week in advance to eat 45 minutes of waiting to get cold fries the waiter understands that the Turkish I had a merguez In addition I had it for dessert. All the people who have rated this establishment positively, sorry to offend you, but you all have a camel's taste palate, the police custody meals are at the same taste level

09/05/2024: A group of 12 of us descended upon this place early evening on Wednesday 8th May. They checked they could accommodate us and initially seated us at two 6 seater tables towards the back but as soon as a 12 seater became available they moved us. The orders were taken, complimentary crisps provided and we settled in. Our drinks arrived promptly and the food arrived, pretty much all at the same time about 10 minutes later. I went for the Steakhouse Burger in a black bread bun as the picture shows. They cobbled up a vegan burger for a friend and another had a burger in a brioche bun. One person had the fish. The rest went for various steaks. My burger was very nice, essentially a cheese and bacon burger. The other burgersxand fish went down well. Pretty quickly on it became clear that the steaks, especially the sirloins, were well below expectation and were put to the side. This was brought to the attention of the staff and fair play to them they reduced the bill significantly. Overall, this is a high volume, medium priced, through trade, steak restaurant right in the tourist centre of Lille where the Eurostar from Brussels and London stops  so it will get a lot of tourist trade. Accordingly it's not a top end, limited customer, steak speciality, restaurant and you should adjust your expectations accordingly. That said the steaks were below the standard expected of an equivalent Aberdeen Steak House you would find in London's West End at a similar price point. Beyond that the staff were very busy but looked after us brilliantly.
