22/08/2026: A warm and fraternal welcome. I'd even say friendly! It was a genuine encounter. We were welcomed into a real home, with great generosity and kindness. In my case, after a long day's cycling, I thought of Brassens' "Chanson pour l'Auvergnat." Thank you, Rémy the Alsatian!

The service was less than polite.

However, charging for a doggy bag is petty, especially since it wasn't indicated on the menu that it was extra... According to the law: In France, a restaurant has the right to charge for a doggy bag (the container for taking home leftovers), but only if it provides prior notice, transparent pricing, and complies with legal requirements.

13/08/2026: I wanted to return to this restaurant, which brought back fond memories of my apprenticeship in the same village. Delicious, locally sourced cuisine—finally, a restaurant that makes an effort to satisfy its customers!
The daily special, prepared according to Alsatian tradition, was a true delight for the taste buds!
The tarte flambée was excellent 🤩
Well done to the owner and his team!
The young waitress was very friendly and smiling.
In short, everything was perfect for a wonderful experience.

14/08/2026: The food was okay, and sitting on the terrace outside was quite pleasant, but the service—I'm sorry to say—was truly frustrating. Inattentive, slow; you get the feeling they're deliberately ignoring you.
Furthermore, it's extremely odd that a "vegetarian plate" includes fish and seafood.
14/08/2026: Very slow, inattentive service. The vegetarian plate contained prawns and salmon, even though we had previously stated that it was difficult to find vegetarian options on the menu.
