15/03/2026: Great pub for a drink and a bite to eat! Often packed on nights of sporting events but always very friendly!
13/03/2026: A very welcoming pub, with plenty of space, several screens for watching sports, a private room, and the option to play darts. They offer a variety of English beers, generous burgers, and satisfying snacks... and especially brunch on weekends!
The staff is great. I've spent a lot of time at the Elephant and Castle and I highly recommend it. It's well located in Old Lyon.

14/03/2026: We had a wonderful evening. Our only slight regret was that we missed the finale of the show due to the table layout. The meal was excellent. The performers were superb in costume and incredibly talented. The atmosphere was lovely and friendly.
07/03/2026: I've been coming to this restaurant for several years now, and I'm never disappointed. The food is delicious, the menu is creative and changes regularly. The service is always excellent, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Upstairs, there's an intimate space for a drink before dinner, and a lovely terrace that opens in the spring.
I highly recommend it!

18/03/2026: I would like to highlight Louison for her courtesy at the GIFEN reception on March 18th. Always smiling, even in a challenging work environment (navigating stairs, to name just one). Always in good spirits and a problem-solver. In short, a valuable asset, the kind I wish I'd encountered more often in such circumstances. Well done, Louison…even if you're not entirely happy with your name…don't worry, it's very pretty 😉👍

Excellent welcome and service from Ryan and Louizon. Very quick service and they kept us regularly updated on the reservation details. The canapés were excellent, especially the hot ones.

23/10/2025: We moved to Toussieu at the end of June and are already loyal customers. It's a very pleasant bar and restaurant, like our second home! All the dishes are very good and everything is homemade.

11/03/2026: A very pleasant experience with my 9-year-old son. The staff was very welcoming. He enjoyed the children's menu. As for me, the dishes were delicious; the fish was recommended to me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The éclair was melt-in-your-mouth.

10/03/2026: We went to the Marguerite restaurant to celebrate a birthday and were very disappointed. We ordered aperitifs, and after 10 minutes, our starters were served. We didn't have time to fully enjoy our aperitifs because we were rushed by the arrival of the main course. We chose the €59 Elegance menu, and the quality of the dishes was clearly not up to the price: while the starters were quite good, the same could not be said for the main courses and desserts. The Bresse chicken was undercooked, and the meat around the bone was bright red. The rice that accompanied the dish was dry and undercooked, hard to the bite! The conchiglioni with wild mushrooms were particularly bland and lacked Parmesan in the filling. I'm used to eating mushrooms, and I assure you they are much better than the ones I had at Marguerite! We chose the fruit salad for dessert: the fruit was tasteless and released a lot of water, suggesting it wasn't fresh but frozen! The accompanying whipped cream, however, was very good. As for the birthday celebration, a waitress played a barrel organ while a colleague clapped her hands... A small ramekin of whipped cream with a tiny candle stuck in it was brought to the table. Meh! Finally, the presentation of the dishes was completely lacking: no color, no flair, except for the salmon appetizer, presented like rose petals. Ultimately, it was an extremely disappointing birthday meal, which is why I don't recommend this restaurant. Considering it's the Bocuse establishment, I have to say you're paying more for the name than the quality of the food! Over €200 for three people for this is bordering on a rip-off! Disappointing.

27/02/2026: I was a regular customer of the Bellecour store, but unfortunately I just learned that it's closed due to hygiene issues, including expired food and traces of rat and mouse droppings.
It's a real shame; I won't be going back.

The welcome, service, and quality of the meal are perfect. The rooms are a real bonus, allowing you to take your time exploring this magnificent region. Book without hesitation!

The risotto was a bit runny and tasteless, the seafood stew was a beautiful dish but bland and flavorless.
The sea bream tartare and Caesar salad were decent.
The fig tart was just okay.

20/01/2026: Honestly, perhaps the best gravlax I've ever had. It almost made me forget that we waited 15 minutes before being served (but keep in mind we were the first customers, so let's forgive them). We ate upstairs, at the "gastronomic" menu.
I ordered a quenelle lyonnaise, my first time having one in a restaurant. I can say I was perhaps expecting a more generous portion, but the porcini mushrooms were delicious, and I finished the bread with the sauce! Finally, the dessert, the chestnut cream, was divine. Honestly, a great experience right near the metro. However, I think it's still a bit pricey.

21/01/2026: A wonderful evening spent with colleagues at this restaurant, even though we weren't hotel guests. The service was excellent and tailored to our needs, we enjoyed pleasant conversations with the management and staff, and the food was superb!

The service was excellent and the food was of a high standard.
However, there were some items on the menu that weren't available.
Looking back, it seems that the menu is changed regularly, so the information on the current menu is unlikely to be valid in the future. However, I feel that the (vegetable) curry might not be appealing enough to people in Japan, where curry is a daily staple, or in India, where curry originated.

Breakfast was poor (no eggs, no cold cuts).

The air conditioning doesn't work.
The bathroom isn't really clean either.
The hotel service is very poor.
The staff is very unfriendly.
If you have a complaint, they can only speak French, even though they used to speak English.
The hotel smells musty.
Unfortunately, we paid in advance. If I had said I'd pay tomorrow, I wouldn't have.
We booked through Expedia and filed a complaint, but it's been going on for three weeks, so I'm definitely not happy with Expedia either. They need to do one thing with this hotel, and that's close it. You wouldn't want to be found dead in this hotel.
If you're looking for a hotel, don't choose this one; please look elsewhere. This hotel doesn't deserve any more guests.
And as you can see in the hotel's comment below, if I expect anything...
We're renovating.
It's a shame I don't have any photos.
But whoever checks the rooms regularly does this person with their eyes closed.
The air conditioning will be checked once a year because several guests are complaining about it. It didn't work.
We tried to find a solution on the spot, but they were unwilling to do anything, and management was impossible to reach.
It was just a disgusting room. Ugh.
The inspectors should definitely visit.
So, if you're looking for a hotel, please look elsewhere. You'll regret this hotel. Don't be tempted by the pool because it's freezing.
And great, if they ask for payment, say you'll do it in the morning because then you'll have seen how terrible the hotel is, and you can refuse to pay.
And the sad thing is, Expedia doesn't do anything about this complaint either. They say they'll get back to you, but you never hear anything back. We contacted them three times, and it's now been three months and we haven't heard anything.

01/09/2024: The setting is very nice. As for the restaurant, the Dinner in the Park is very pleasant but the quality/price ratio remains a little high.
In fact, we get away with it for €70/person (e.g. just a thin crouton with tapenade/person to accompany the aperitifs)!

28/11/2024: We got married on November 16. Cocktail, dinner, evening and brunch the next day at the Château des Loges. We couldn't have dreamed of anything better! Everything was perfect: magnificent setting (everything took place indoors) and well presented, very professional organization, very good meal (chosen thanks to the test meal) and impeccable service. I highly recommend this place! With the thousand things to think about when organizing a wedding, it is precious and comfortable to have such a “pack” (venue, caterer, carefully set tables, decoration, other various services, etc.) managed perfectly.
Mr. Lagarde, the owner who was our main contact, is a very friendly person. Thanks again :)
