I celebrated my birthday this weekend with the table d'hôte meal, there were 18 of us and all my guests without exception congratulated me on the choice of restaurant. From starter to dessert it was a treat. Thank you Arnaud for your kindness and your excellent cuisine. You have the congratulations of all my friends.

Another “dear” disappointment as is often the case in busy city centers.
The Alchimy does like many and sadly does not invent anything. We only have a brasserie which uses a few tricks to try to deceive the passerby and his palate.
The appetizers, the first trick that works but at the start of the meal everything works, even a squid nugget on a saffron appliance. And strangely these little appetizers make us long for the rest...
Sadly, the salmon without being bad is very ordinary and lacks salt and cooking. It's flattened that I discover gnocchi underneath that are way overcooked. The dark bowl in a dark atmosphere means that we have absolutely no idea what is really inside. Fortunately some flavors are a little more worked.
The salted butter caramel “choux” is surprisingly surprising. Crunchy, barely warm, it looks like it came out of the oven and although that is not the case (which is normal)... It works... Much better than whipped cream drowned in too much sugar and sadly that doesn't work. Isn't the slightly "washed" caramel with a "burnt" aftertaste that will fix that?
To you consumers who read this, remember that in general, too much sugar, like too much cream, are the words of dishes that have nothing to say.
That being said, Bravo for the cabbage, really.
For the service, it is no surprise, we are in a Brasserie rhythm where the dishes ready to go before you have finished the previous one follow one another. I had the appetizers even though I had not yet tasted my vine peach fruit juice, which was sold to me as a very good product from France and which seemed to me to be longer. and without much flavor. Maybe we should do the opposite. Put the juice in a glass with a jar of ice cubes.
For the dish then, They wanted to clear me twice even though I hadn't finished, and as if destiny was trying to convince me, it's only 10:30 p.m., not far from me, the waiters congratulate themselves on having "sent "more than 100 seats... The circle is complete.
Conclusion if it is still necessary to make it: 40€ for 1 main course and 1 dessert since we cannot decently consider the appetizers as a starter (although pleasant)..... It's expensive. But the worst thing is that it is not justified or compensated by a single framework.
Waitresses and waiters are in any case smiling and efficient (too much?).
That evening, surprise! there was a concert in the square next door.

23/09/2024: Very beautiful castle in the heart of the vineyards! A warm, relaxing and charming place. The rooms are impeccable, and the staff takes great care, I recommend, thank you again for your welcome!
22/09/2024: We went to discover this restaurant with 3 people thinking that it was a gourmet restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide.
The setting is nice as is the room but the rest is not up to par: the wines by the glass the level of the wines being low, the vacuum was not made, the 2 Gaillac wines tasted were stale.
On the menu at €58, the appetizers: shortbreads are not of the day, the starters: the perfect egg with a very spicy pepper soup is ordinary, the main course: the duck cooked at low temperature is good but the accompaniment of 3 dauphine potatoes is a little tight, a vegetable would have been welcome. As the fish on the menu was not delivered, we were offered prawns….
Dessert: the ice cream machine being broken, no ice cream for desserts...instead a fine chocolate tart, good but tiny. The other strawberry dessert is served with sugar-free cream...
Frankly disappointed, we then tested the reserve in Albi which for an equal price is clearly above all points of view.
