Le Karélian

Dommartin-Les-Remiremont
27/02/2026: Superb experience, refined cuisine bursting with flavor!!
23/02/2026: Very disappointed! We came once before, and it was great: fine and refined cuisine. But this Sunday, the dishes had a very heavy, overpowering sauce that was not good at all. We also had a very large portion of sweetbreads, which was sickening because it was too big, again with a heavy, thick, and very strong sauce. For dessert, we ordered sorbet, and we were brought three scoops with nothing else! Not a mint leaf, no small fruit for garnish, not a small biscuit, nothing for €15! What a disappointment for €180! We will not be returning to Karélian.

Le Bouche à Oreille

Raon-L'Etape
21/02/2026: A superb discovery! A unique menu with two choices per course, ensuring a focus on freshness. Bold and successful combinations of ingredients at a reasonable price. A place to recommend and remember!
13/02/2026: A hidden gem in Raon-l'Étape: Go for it without hesitation! While traveling in the area, I called this restaurant on a whim for lunch, and what a surprise! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a wonderful atmosphere in a modern and stylish setting. What immediately strikes you is the perfect blend of friendliness and professionalism. The service is both professional and warm; you instantly feel at ease. As for the food, the lunch menu is absolutely flawless: The starter: An excellent rabbit terrine. You can taste the "homemade" quality from the first bite, it's undeniable. The main course: A fillet of pollack with sweet potato, all enhanced by an incredible sauce... The chef is right to keep it a secret; it's truly memorable! The dessert: An apple-blueberry clafoutis so delicate it would make any gourmet blush. A truly wonderful discovery! It was Friday the 13th, but luck was on my side: I didn't even find a single fishbone! A must-visit if you're reading a recommendation. Thank you! (Restaurant and Kitchen) Emmanuel L.

Le Clos Heurtebise

Remiremont, 60-100€
11/04/2026: There are restaurants that aim to impress, and others that prefer to convince. Clos Heurtebise undoubtedly belongs to the latter category, those establishments that rely neither on showmanship nor excessive theatricality on the plate, but on a concept rarer today: that of pure pleasure. At a time when so many establishments confuse sophistication with culinary frenzy, this restaurant offers, with its €39 menu, a composition of controlled simplicity, almost soothing. Here, the meal is not experienced as a demonstration, but as a promise kept: that of a harmonious, accessible moment, refined enough to leave a lasting impression. The choice of a Minuty served throughout the meal immediately sets the tone. This wine, with its now well-established reputation, unfolds its southern freshness with an almost sophisticated ease. It accompanies the meal like summer light prolongs a late afternoon: without jarring, without abruptness, with a charming fluidity that prevents lunch from becoming heavy and dinner from becoming rigid. One might criticize this choice for its classicism; one would prefer to see it as a form of intelligence. The Minuty reassures, flatters, links the courses of the meal, and gives the whole a pleasing continuity. But it is at dessert time that the table perhaps best reveals its personality. Not a flamboyant ambition, but a desire to conclude with grace. The white chocolate and strawberry mousse could have fallen into the trap of being overly demonstrative, almost childish. But it doesn't. White chocolate, a potentially dangerous ingredient, as it doesn't tolerate excess well, is tempered here by the presence of strawberry, which brings depth, freshness, and an added touch of vibrancy. The result is a dessert that is sweet without being heavy, caressing without being bland, where the creamy richness finds a particularly pleasing fruity echo. It's a seductive finale. The kiwi dessert, on the other hand, takes a completely different approach. More direct, more vibrant, almost more edgy, it awakens the palate where the other dessert had enveloped it. The kiwi, with its crisp acidity and almost sharp aroma, provides a more lively, more vertical conclusion. It's the dessert of rejuvenation, the one that cleanses the palate and leaves a lasting impression of controlled freshness. What is so appealing at Clos Heurtebise, then, is not spectacular audacity. On the contrary, it's this ability to maintain a clear vision: to offer cuisine and a dining experience that don't pretend to revolutionize the gastronomic world, but that know how to remind us of the essentials—eating well, drinking well, and ending happily. At 39 euros, this achievement deserves praise. Because in this price range, the slightest misstep is costly. Here, on the contrary, one senses an establishment that understands that true luxury doesn't always reside in the rarity of the product or the complexity of the execution, but in the coherence of a meal. A well-chosen wine, desserts that skillfully balance sweetness and freshness, an overall impression of poise: this is a language more precious than it seems. Clos Heurtebise doesn't dazzle: it satisfies. And in a landscape saturated with restaurants that try too hard, this restraint, almost this wisdom, ultimately becomes a mark of distinction. The critic's verdict: a restaurant of understated charm, where pleasure triumphs over showmanship, where the Minuty wine complements the meal with finesse, and where the desserts, ranging from the delicate sweetness of white chocolate and strawberry to the vibrant kiwi, offer a fitting, refreshing, and elegant conclusion. An establishment that doesn't seek to outshine the others, but which knows how to discreetly leave a lasting impression.

Le-Dancourt Charmes

Charmes
13/01/2026: Simple but good home cooking. Reasonable prices. Impeccable service. The lunch menu is a bit limited on weekdays.
05/01/2026: Order worth €500 for New Year's Eve. The meal, straight from the subway, was absolutely disgusting, tasteless, and didn't taste homemade at all. It's regrettable; we feel ripped off. Shameful.
