25/07/2026: A very nice hotel where the guest is the focus of all attention. Superb breakfast, very varied and very generous. Comfortable rooms. Impeccably clean, you feel right at home. We will definitely be back.

Very good breakfasts.
They tried to sell me a salted caramel ice cream from Isigny (to a Breton). I almost stormed out, but I managed to find unsuspected inner strength to overcome this affront to eternal Brittany.

03/02/2026: A very good restaurant with a lovely terrace. Mâcon, delicious calf's head, Loire red wine, very successful sweetbreads with porcini mushrooms, and a very good vanilla soufflé with chocolate pastilles.
28/12/2025: Excellent restaurant. Refined setting. They offer a set menu for €65 and another for €45. À la carte dishes are also available. The wine list is classic. The portions are generous and beautifully presented. The flavors and seasonings are just right. The service is professional and attentive. We were served a little too quickly for my liking. The "mid-course drink" offered after the starter would have been better served after the main course.
It's a wonderful restaurant that I highly recommend. However, I suggest calling ahead as it seems the restaurant might be closing. Happy retirement to the owner...

I recommend the tuna poupinou pizza.
Absolutely delicious.
Cooked in a real wood-fired oven.
A very warm welcome and no extra charge.
I highly recommend this place. Enjoy your meal.

21/08/2026: We were seated, 25 minutes later, and our orders hadn't been taken, not even drinks. We went to eat elsewhere.
19/08/2026: Dinner for two on the terrace. The food was good and reasonably priced. Large terrace. Unfortunately, as is often the case during busy periods, the disorganized service was a serious drawback. Patience was required to order and even to get dessert... Otherwise, a place worth a visit.

It's really nice; you choose what you want, there's a lot of choice, no waiting, you enjoy a delicious meal, and it's fun. You have a great time, and as a result, we come back regularly. We highly recommend it!
16/08/2026: Disappointed with the buffet; it used to be better because we always went there. Now we won't go back. The spring rolls were awful, they were gelatinous, and the fried rice was hard. For the price, they could do better.

22/05/2026: We stop here every time we go to the Limousin region. The hotel is very well located, the prices are reasonable, and the restaurant has several set menus and is very busy. The staff is very attentive.

25/08/2026: We arrived early in the morning and there were only 4 or 5 customers, which is very few! We waited 10 minutes before even getting a glance from the sales assistants; they were giggling amongst themselves instead of helping us… then we were asked to change lines when there were only 2 customers left. And we had already been waiting for 10 minutes without anyone asking us what we wanted. So we decided to leave because we had come for a quick lunch before an appointment. As a result, we left upset and with empty stomachs… very disappointed with this experience, avoid it in the morning!
25/08/2026: I keep thinking about my last visit to Patapain, and since then I've found it hard to think about anything else but what I learned. In the standard farms where you buy your products, piglets have their tails docked and their teeth ground down, while sows spend half their lives in cages. This suffering completely ruins the customer experience.

03/08/2026: Very disappointed. A 50-minute wait for a fondue and a ribeye steak. The ribeye was cold and full of sinew, and the fondue was barely lukewarm. Deli meats from Super U or Metro.
30/07/2026: Fondue creusois, tasty entrecôte... Nothing to report, we're definitely in Limousin!

I recommend this place. (January 2026, this restaurant is said to have closed, however, a new owner might take over the business 🤞)
17/11/2025: Very pleasant, a simple yet effective formula...very reasonable price, friendly staff.
Just one small point for improvement: You shouldn't be thirsty; one carafe for 7 people is barely enough, and when it's empty, you have to ask for it again and again...
