La Roseraie
Montignac
31/12/2023: Pretentious hotel, but outdated; no modern comfort and expensive but tasteless cuisine in the restaurant.
In addition, surly boss.
03/12/2023: What a bad reception; a cantankerous boss - see her insulting remarks towards many customers who do not agree with her, but from whom she does not hesitate to take advantage!!
Old hotel not very functional for abusive prices.

Bar Restaurant le Festival
Montignac
29/12/2023: Good food, very attentive service, correct price, 100x100 recommended. All very well.
17/09/2023: Arriving without reservation, we were seated immediately.
The terrace was pretty but much too small despite the fact that there were not many of us in terms of customers.
A very messy service, the waitress seemed overwhelmed and there was a bit of a wait.
The cocktails are a little expensive but we ate well.

Lou Bombareau
Montignac
18/02/2024: Terrible service. Treated like people on the 2nd floor because they are tourists. The kitchen is average. There are much better restaurants around. No more problems regarding addition. Do not go..
21/12/2023: Ashamed. Distressing. Degrading.
This restaurant, if you can call it that, is a disgrace to cuisine and all the best that the art of catering has to offer; you would have to hold a good bar to be able to defend it.
In search of brands capable of welcoming us in the middle of August 15, we arrive not without disappointment at the Lou Bombareau whose crowds on the terrace challenge us. A quick glance at the menu is enough for us to guess that this restaurant is not the most authentic in the area (offering Dordogne mussels for example), but we are hungry and decide to trust the internet reviews, including the misguidance will then be served to us on a silver platter in the absence of our food.
Friendly staff at first glance, who master the art of manipulation and lying much better than that of service. Twenty minutes pass and we have just been handed the menus. We make our choice quite quickly and wait another ten minutes for someone to come and take our order. Tens of minutes pass and we see the staff serving one, two, then three tables of customers who arrived at the same time or well after us. We can already see, looking at the dishes coming and going, the mediocrity of the food and its preparation. The duck looks like a dry-cooked shoe sole, the cheeseburger looks like a poorly defrosted Charal dish. Everything seems so dry and solid that you would think you were attending the annual dinette festival. A couple sitting next to us and arriving at the same time, happily enjoy the dessert while our empty and unremoved beers sit on our table for too long and our despair. “The dishes are arriving,” our waitress finally deigns to inform us, feigning empathy.
We have been sitting for over an hour now and still nothing, nothing, niet, nada, niente. I then called out to a waitress, letting her know that we were very unhappy with this wait, to which she replied: “we know about it, we talk about it in the kitchen, I’ll come back”. Oh hey, I didn't know that a cheeseburger and a duck breast could from time to time serve as thesis subjects in cooking. One minute, two minutes, total nothingness, no one to come back and apologize flatly or offer us compensation. It’s too much, we get up, numb from having sat for so long putting up with such neglect.
Entering the interior, we tell one of the waitresses that we won't wait any longer, handing her change for the beers. Instead of apologizing flatly, she seemed more annoyed towards the cooks than towards us: “no, but the dishes are arriving, they’re right there! ". We insist in return, enough is enough, we are about to leave. She then throws the information to the cook, who is now coming out of her kitchen and off its hinges. We are therefore probably facing Lou Bombareau herself, the eponymous and emblematic character of this brand.
Thunderclap in the kitchen, neither one nor two, the shrew brandishes the cheeseburger that we had ordered and orders us to sit down again. We then see the dish, a sort of failed facsimile of defrosted rata. We explain to him the reasons for our departure and that there is no point in discussing it further. She protests, and without any prior apology to us: “so in these cases you will pay for what you ordered! ". To which she adds, starting from the most contemptuous premise possible: “you are on vacation, you are relieved, I am stressed!” ". The latest news is that we are clients, not psychologists. There is no point in arguing further with the little people and their dishes that would make a rickety mutt vomit; we leave the place while the shrew continues in the distance to sputter furiously in her inaccessible restaurant.
In short, an experience to do if you have already been to Lascaux and you no longer know how to have fun in Montignac.
