An idyllic setting, exceptional service, and incredible food!! 👌🏻 The best restaurant we went to during our weekend! A lovely restaurant on the banks of the Vézère River. We enjoyed a delicious meal featuring regional specialties. The welcome was friendly. A very pleasant stop. I highly recommend it.

A wonderful discovery at the Auberge de la Vézère in Montignac. We stopped here for lunch before heading to Lascaux IV in the afternoon, and we were absolutely delighted with our choice. We wanted to enjoy Montignac a bit and discover some local cuisine, and the experience was a great success from start to finish. For our starter, we chose the warm cabécou cheese salad, which was excellent. The cheese was perfectly prepared, melting beautifully, and the dish was very well balanced with the salad and vegetables. It was fresh, well-seasoned, and truly delightful. We then wanted to try one of the region's must-try dishes: the porcini mushroom omelet. And frankly, it was exceptionally good. We asked for it medium-rare, and it was cooked exactly as we had hoped: neither overcooked nor too runny, light, fluffy, and perfectly executed. The porcini mushrooms were excellent and bursting with flavor. It's a dish that looks simple, but it requires real skill in cooking, and here it was executed flawlessly. We also tried the seven-hour lamb, offered as the daily special, which was also a great success: tender, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. In the end, we truly felt we had a wonderful meal. The ingredients were high-quality, the cooking was expertly done, the seasonings were spot-on, and the portions were generous without being heavy. We were very satisfied with our lunch and had a very pleasant time before our visit to Lascaux. A great place to eat in Montignac, especially if you're looking to discover some regional specialties, and a special mention for their porcini omelet, which we found excellent.

After visiting the caves in the middle of August, we made a last-minute reservation for 16 people at this establishment, without much hope. And in the end: impeccable welcome, fast and professional service, quality food, and delightful discoveries of regional wines. Go without hesitation!
