08/08/2026: Expensive and not good... Unappetizing, heavy, and greasy tapas for a summer meal on a very hot evening... It's like a canteen, and it's changed a lot since I first knew this place 30 years ago... It should be called the Burgos Cantina!!... I won't be going back
04/08/2026: We had a meal for two one summer evening. The menu has recently changed, and we were very disappointed with the offerings, which are clearly not suited to the Toulouse summer heat... €40 for fried food, pointless and far too expensive.

18/07/2026: We went there on a date 6 years ago and it was amazing. Came back yesterday and everything was just as good: food is incredible, special mention for the duck hearts and scallops. Everything is such high quality we would go back in a heartbeat! Service is always impeccable too.

It's a shame, because I loved this bar and had been spending evenings there regularly for the past 10 years... The change in management has been a disaster (except in the kitchen where the food remains excellent).
Advice to the staff: when an emergency arises in your establishment, the priority should be to help the person (or at least show concern) rather than trying to clear them out of the way and make their group pay and leave as quickly as possible.
Yes, we were going to pay, as we have every time for the past 10 years, but perhaps you have to be conscious and not completely out of it to be able to pull out your credit card?
16/05/2026: We always receive a warm welcome at Vasco, whether it's for a drink or a music night! The staff are really nice and friendly, and the private rooms are decent!

The waitresses are incredibly arrogant.
For the Fête de la Musique (Music Festival), the glasses had a €2 deposit each. There were four of us, so that's a total of €8 in deposits. Yet, it was impossible to get that money back, neither in cash nor by card.
That's €10 for a pint of beer! They'll do anything to make a profit off their customers. I've never seen anything like it!
An unacceptable practice and a total lack of respect for the customers. Avoid at all costs.

14/03/2026: We went on a Friday evening to celebrate a friend's birthday and were disappointed by the service.
The tapas were good, no complaints there.
However, on two occasions, they got our orders wrong, bringing us Moscow Mules instead of gin cocktails. We pointed out the mistakes but didn't ask for the glasses to be changed; it happens, and we're accommodating.
We paid a bill of almost €50 per person and finished our drinks before leaving (about 10 minutes after paying). As we were getting up, we ran into our waiter from the evening and remarked that it was a shame we hadn't received any shots for the birthday (especially since all the tables that left before us had, and it's a signature of the place), to which he replied that we should speak with the owner. So we went to see the owner, who told us, "If you ask for them, they're no longer complimentary; you'll have to order them." Okay, great atmosphere. This was followed by the remark, "If you had stayed longer, you would have had them," to which we replied that we had already paid 10 minutes prior. The owner's response was disdainful: "Yeah, sure, tell that to someone else, bye."
In short, messing up a table happens, admitting mistakes is good too, and losing customers is just as important.

01/08/2026: DJ Charif, honestly, he needs to stop. Putting together a Spotify playlist is easy enough for anyone, and the atmosphere on weekends really needs improvement. Plus, he doesn't listen to his audience.

27/07/2026: I've been going to El Canaille for 10 years. Since the change of ownership, it's completely gone downhill. The quality is much lower and the owner is unpleasant. The latest example: closed during opening hours with a sign saying "I'll be back in 15 minutes." Thirty minutes later, I decided to give up... only to see the new owner sipping a beer in a bar two streets away. I won't be going back. What a shame to ruin a Toulouse institution like this.
