18/08/2026: The food: The food was simply inedible. The ingredients were woefully unfresh, the seasoning was nonexistent, and the cooking was a complete disaster. You're practically guaranteed food poisoning with every bite.
The service: A frosty welcome and appallingly amateurish staff. Slow, haughty, and visibly annoyed by the mere presence of customers.
Hygiene: Cleanliness was appalling, from the sticky tables to the disgustingly filthy restrooms.

07/09/2026: Very good restaurant. The burger was excellent with real fries. The salmon stew was also excellent, with lovely shrimp and good seasonal vegetables.
Very good value for money in a very pleasant setting.
Worth trying. Tip: book for lunch and then visit the Cordeliers Royal right next door! 😃

12/07/2026: What bad luck that we ended up at this restaurant for dinner. The service was deplorable; they seemed to be laughing at us, speaking French amongst themselves. The woman running it was quite rude. We asked if six of us could eat together, and she said yes without a problem, but then it seemed like we were bothering her. Luckily, the food was decent and reasonably priced, although when we asked for the bill, it only showed the total price and not each item individually. Not recommended at all!

Excellent welcome, very pleasant, calm, and quiet restaurant. Excellent meal, very attentive staff, and a friendly and welcoming reception.
Frankly, all 42 guests were delighted and had nothing but praise. We unanimously recommend this establishment.

15/05/2026: We spent 5 nights in this famous hotel. We were well received, but they did not warn us about room cleaning and left the door wide open and unattended, with all our belongings visible to everyone. And of course, we had a theft, which they claim is not their responsibility, so be careful not to bring back valuables.

26/08/2026: Disappointed by the overall wait and the poorly served food... The staff were unprofessional and unhelpful. I ordered the Nutella Supreme ice cream, but it was served with leftover red berries inside my cup. I was outraged and asked for compensation, which was refused outright and in full. I do not recommend it.

Honestly, we had a wonderful time. The welcome was warm, the service impeccable, and the meal truly delicious. The couple who run the establishment are lovely, welcoming, and very pleasant. Plus, the setting offers a beautiful view.
A fantastic find, I highly recommend it! 😊

Le prix des boissons est excessif.
27/05/2024: Nous voulions juste boire un verre, on nous donne une carte de boissons, on a attendu attendu, on est parti. Nous sommes restaurateurs sur oleron : les prix pratiqués dans cet établissement sont exorbitants ! Avec 1 table de 2 dans la salle, à 3 ils n'étaient pas débordés ! Lamentable!!!

17/07/2024: Cet établissement s'appelle maintenant le café de la paix. Situé place Colbert ce restaurant offre un très jolie cadre avec en prime une très belle terrasse extérieure. Tout est fait maison,la qualité des plats est excellente et le service est impeccable. Une bonne adresse pour passer un bon moment en famille ou entre ami...
