02/12/2025: It's never been closed, contrary to what Maps says. The kitchen is temporarily closed, but the bar remains open. Clean place, good service, and a good atmosphere. Maybe the best café in the area.

04/08/2024: Passage to Nontron, for the knife festival, I put one star not being able to put less. Just pathetic... There are four of us, and we take the menu at €25 per person. Waiting, more than half an hour for our drinks to be ordered. But we don't take our menus at the same time. We wait again to be asked what we are going to eat. Two starters of your choice, two main courses of your choice, two desserts of your choice or two salads. I would like to have three scoops of ice cream for my dessert, rather than two, they refuse me, saying that it will disrupt the organization of the kitchen. Bourata tomatoes, I'll let you form your opinion with the photo. After 1h30, we received our dishes of potatoes and confit duck legs, everything was cold. As a result of this visit to the restaurant, we left without eating and ended up with a merguez sandwich. adventure bill €69.90. They ended up making a gesture of €20.
02/07/2024: Decent hotel, although the lawn in front of the swimming pool is not mowed, and no one is there to swim on the terrace. On the other hand, the restaurant is a disaster. 169 euros for 2 for a salmon carpaccio, without salmon. A salad for 24 euros with 3 gizzards, bad foie gras on soft bread, and a tasteless sauce, not to mention the 5 small pieces of pdt cooked in water. Finally a confit which is not a confit but a classic duck leg accompanied by very bad vegetables, including a grainy broccoli puree. The restaurant advertises master restaurateur but when we approach the plate, we discover that it was in 2016. Avoid urgently. I would like to point out that this is the first time we have left such a comment on a restaurant.
