06/04/2026: Second visit to this place for a 2-night stay including dinner. The establishment has been renovated in keeping with its 19th-century style, but with good, functional comfort in the rooms with their 3.5-meter ceilings. The bathroom is well-appointed with a spacious walk-in shower. Choose the rooms with a superb view of the river and bridge, as the view towards the village at the rear is rather dreary. The price difference is justified. A complete and balanced breakfast is served at the table. For the restaurant, the chef-owner demonstrates excellent cooking skills and a selection of good local produce. The wine list is decent in terms of choice, quality, and price. The service is professional yet relaxed. There are two large dining rooms (opt for the one with the large fireplace), in addition to the bar and two private rooms. And in the warmer months, the shaded terrace overlooking the Loue River is pure bliss. A beautiful place to recharge your batteries, feeling a little out of time in a preserved space with attentive staff.

22/03/2026: I've walked past this place several times, telling myself each time that I'd have to try it one day. Today, fate forced me to stop in, as I was experiencing hypoglycemia after an overly ambitious bike ride. Despite closing time, the staff were very understanding and welcomed me warmly while I recovered. Next time, I promise, it will be for a proper meal. Looking forward to it!
