27/09/2026: The best meal of the whole three week trip in Normandy and Ireland. It doesn't look fancy, but it is a real French restaurant. You get great food. Be warned, the portions are huge, so there won't be much room left after the starter. Everything fresh, everything homemade. The owner is very friendly, "old timers" go there, authentic atmosphere. Nothing for tourists. Oh and good value for money.
19/09/2026: It's a shame the fries are still so-so, otherwise everything is fine. The welcome is still warm, but not always! There's a good variety of dishes (1 to 2 euros more expensive than other restaurants) 🤔
The atmosphere is just average compared to when they first arrived! One and a half eggs for the starter? Why not two eggs like elsewhere? It's not like they cost the most! 😪😪 It's a shame there aren't many choices for starters...

26/10/2026: My partner and I decided to order desserts through Uber Eats.
€27 for a milkshake, an apple pie, and two smoothies. If the quality had been decent, the price wouldn't have been an issue.
- The milkshake had three-quarters whipped cream for €8.90, but no speculoos cookies, even though it was listed as such on the Uber Eats page. (I've attached all the photos, of course.)
- The smoothies weren't what we ordered, and the glass was only half full. Plus, I had a strong feeling they were watered down.
- The apple pie was completely inedible, undercooked and extremely cold. My partner and I are both restaurant owners, and I find it unacceptable to serve this to customers.
Besides the health risks associated with undercooked frozen products, it's unacceptable to sell such small quantities at such prices.
Honestly, the financial situation of the French is critical enough; there's no need to rip us off like this.
I will NEVER go back.

21/07/2026: Very good restaurant, super friendly! Relaxed atmosphere and one less carafe of water! Excellent main courses: rabbit, sea bream, steak, and delicious dessert and gourmet coffee. I'll definitely be back.

23/09/2026: We received a very warm welcome and excellent advice from Christine, whom we thank. For our party, we ordered three cakes: a feuilletine, an apple tart, and a classic croquembouche, as well as bread rolls for our guests. Everything was very much appreciated by all of them.
We highly recommend this bakery.

05/09/2026: My daughter and I rented bikes from L’arrivee de Giverny. The staff was helpful, kind, friendly. We got a lock and helmet included in our rental. The price was exceptionally reasonable and affordable and was in good working condition. We rode to Monet’s Madison & Jardin (20 min beautiful bike ride). Upon return we had a latte and a muffin from them. The staff was again great and the food was a perfect end to our adventure here in Vernon-Giverny. Highly recommend renting a bike from them and stopping buy and grabbing a bite from their cafe.
05/09/2026: Had a coffee & rented bikes to visit Monets home and garden. Such a lovely visit & very friendly staff.

15/08/2024: Une très bonne surprise. Un accueil professionnel mais agréable et chaleureux, avec un personnel attentif sans être envahissant. La carte est réduite mais variée. Les plats, quant à eux, sont copieux et d’excellente qualité. Un vrai régal et un moment très appréciable. Le service est impeccable. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe.
29/05/2024: Nous avions réservé pour fêter 2 anniversaires 30 personnes environ.
Lors de la réservation personnel très accueillant qui semblait prendre en compte nos demandes.
Malheureusement très déçus
Nous sommes arrivés vers 20h( personnel de l'hôpital) du coup le responsable était au courant.
Apéritif servi de façon très expéditive.
Entrées servies dans la foulée et posées de façon aléatoire sur les tables alors que personne n'était encore installé.
Du coup l'entrée chaude était froide une fois tout le monde installé.
Ensuite plat et dessert servi à la suite.
On sentait vraiment qu'il fallait aller vite.
Nous nous étions entendu sur 2 gâteaux et au final un seul !!!(il s'agissait de 2 anniversaires).
A 22h repas entièrement servi.
Nous avions mis avec accord du responsable un peu de musique et du fait des plaintes de personnes qui étaient à l'hôtel on nous demandait de quitter les lieux vers 23h.
Ce qui est curieux c'est qu'il y a des soirées musicales le samedi ???
Je pense que ce restaurant n'est pas fait pour accueillir des groupes .
Il aurait été judicieux de nous prévenir cela aurait evité tous ces désagréments.
Concernant la saveur des plats le poisson était quasi froid pour certains et la tarte tatin pas du jour ou congelée.
D'ailleurs la mienne brûlante...elle venait sûrement d'être décongelé.
Pour finir j'ai fait part de tout cela par message au responsable du restaurant de façon très correcte je pense et aucune réponse de sa part ce qui me semble pas très professionnel.
Personne ne reviendra même en petit comité...soirée un peu gâchée par tout cela...
