26/04/2026: I just had lunch with my family on the terrace, thanks to a reservation made by my daughter who lives in Toulouse. I wasn't disappointed at all; the service was impeccable, professional, and attentive. The food was beautifully presented and, most importantly, delicious, from the appetizers and shellfish to the meat. Everything was cooked exactly as we requested. To complement the meal, the wines we tasted were perfect. All this for a reasonable price for a Sunday in Toulouse. I will definitely be back. Reservations are essential.

15/05/2026: This place is the quintessential wine/tapas bar. Beautiful display of wines from all over the region and a knowledgeable host who is ready with recommendations. The food is delicious and paired perfectly with our wine(s) of the night. We weren’t rushed. Everything was coursed with the right amount of time. I wish we could have spent more time in Toulouse because I definitely would come back.

The food is excellent: the sharing plates are delicious, generous, and very well prepared for the price. As for the wine, the selection is particularly well-curated, and the owner offers excellent advice. His knowledge of wines is impressive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates a friendly atmosphere, good food, and fine wines.

There's nothing else like this unique establishment in the Pink City. The service is always unforgettable, relaxed, and friendly. With Amande and Caro, the kitchen staff, you can feel their joy in being there for the customers and their zest for life. And of course, the food is absolutely delicious: classic dishes like confit pork cheeks, the famous and inimitable baked egg with morels and foie gras—so good you'll lick the plate clean...—and the renowned double cream banoffee pie, which is simply perfect. The covered terrace, with its cozy lounge feel, and the tables in the three dining rooms aren't just places to eat and drink; Le Gai Pêcheur is a haven to recharge and protect your sanity from the harshness of the world. Thank you 💚 for enchanting me all these years; I've never been disappointed....

21/04/2026: Excellent welcome and perfectly timed service – neither too fast nor too slow. Delicious foie gras, excellent beef fillet, and a very good cassoulet with plenty of meat. A minor drawback was the desserts, particularly the rum babas: the brioche was a bit dry and not quite rum-rich, and the whipped cream wasn't great. But don't hesitate, the main courses are perfect and generous.
