03/06/2025: What a wonderful discovery! I wouldn't have thought to go in because the storefront could use a facelift. And yet, what a joy to spend time in a place where the 80s decor, the warm welcome, the quality of the semi-gastronomic meal at a reasonable price, and the professionalism of the staff all contribute to a truly delightful experience. I've been telling everyone I know about it because I'm so happy to have discovered this fantastic restaurant. 🤩🤩🤩

23/12/2025: If you want to get diarrhea, go for it! The toilets were filthy, and there wasn't much food on the plates. We were freezing. We didn't even take our coats off! We left halfway through our meal! Avoid at all costs!!!

09/01/2026: Undoubtedly the best value for money for lunch or dinner in Lorient. A pleasant, traditional establishment in its decor, with Naples fabrics and always fresh bread. The cuisine is quite modern, using quality ingredients and, above all, plenty of freshness… the dishes are presented with great care. The service is always friendly and discreet. A truly wonderful place that deserves to be better known. Philippe

14/06/2026: Appalling service. We were greeted by a very friendly young man, however, the person who took our order (a person of color, to be precise) deserved a zero rating. We hadn't even arrived before we were expected to order an appetizer, main course, drink, and dessert. The interaction with the customer was very poor and dishonest; I could have handled it better without the experience. I don't recommend the service, but I do recommend the quality of the food (it was excellent, thank you to the chef).

12/06/2026: Extremely disappointed. We arrived at 12:15 and the fish of the day, salmon, was already sold out. Instead, we were offered whiting fillet in a small portion, being told it was the same thing 🙄. The dessert listed on the menu was also unavailable; instead, we were served a watery cake with a chocolate center, which raised serious doubts about its quality. A big thank you for the bread, though; without it, I would have left hungry.

23/05/2026: The service was excellent, and there's nothing to complain about; the welcome I received on each of my visits was pleasant, even as recently as May 22, 2026. Regarding the rooms, I can't give my opinion since I've never actually stayed there overnight.

13/04/2026: With our Wonderbox gift voucher, we received a warm welcome and excellent service. Beautiful white tablecloths and beautifully presented dishes. A complete lunch menu for €23. Delicious French toast.

26/03/2026: I came to the Vauban café to do a research project for my degree. I explained the situation, and the manager's response was far from kind. Apparently, sitting in a café to describe a place for a research project isn't allowed unless you buy something. I won't be back, and if you're looking for a friendly gesture, this isn't the place to find it.
