16/03/2026: I've never been there, but I've always heard great things about it. I wanted to eat there for lunch today, but apparently it's been permanently closed since Saturday. What a shame!

07/03/2026: A wonderful discovery in Venette! Le Méga is a restaurant that pleasantly surprises. From the moment you step inside, you're immersed in the ambiance of a Savoyard chalet, with plenty of wood, warm decor, and intimate spaces reminiscent of mountain inns. The atmosphere is friendly and truly refreshing, especially considering it's so close to Compiègne. The dining room is very clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, with tables equally suited to group meals and quieter dinners. The menu offers generous and delicious French cuisine: beautiful cuts of meat, cheese specialties, regional dishes, and a few perfectly executed classics. You can tell the food is made for pleasure, simple yet satisfying. Special mention goes to the exceptionally friendly and attentive service. It's the kind of place where you quickly feel at ease. A welcoming spot where you can have a wonderful time, and where you'll naturally want to return.

29/08/2026: No complaints about the price, I recommend it, and the staff are available and pleasant.

25/08/2026: We went on Sunday, August 24, 2026, at 8 PM. The all-you-can-eat mussels service was a disaster; there was no more cream or Roquefort sauce. There were few, if any, vegetables, and everything was on the floor. It wasn't clean, and there were too few staff. What's going on? I wanted a fruit tart, but they didn't have any. The service and cleanliness of the store urgently need improvement.
