19/02/2026: For Valentine's Day, we went to Veulettes because we'd heard good things about it. I looked for a restaurant and booked "Les Frégates" based on the reviews. We didn't regret our choice, even though the sun wasn't shining outside. A very warm welcome, excellent food, and pleasant staff. Furthermore, the Valentine's Day menu wasn't listed for lunch, but it wasn't mentioned on the menu. Since we were the first to arrive, we were treated to it. The menu was more expensive but a real treat (a glass of champagne, foie gras with a very moist homemade gingerbread—even my husband, who doesn't usually like it, loved it—scallops with mushrooms and an excellent sauce, and to finish, a chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis). As our meal progressed, the restaurant filled up. Afterwards, we took a short, windy walk through Veulettes, which is well worth the detour.
