MY TRIP:
Arriving on a Monday at 11:45 a.m. the restaurant is open but empty of any customers. There is a step at the entrance. We open the door ourselves and discover all the decoration which brings back memories of the South-West. In front of us are three employees who welcome us with a smile and shake our hands. We immediately feel at home!
*I specify that I am originally from Tarbes. My partner wanted me to discover this restaurant. It is actually a chain of restaurants located only in Paris and its inner suburbs.
At 12:30 p.m. the restaurant fills up. The restaurant seems too small because the customers are crowded, but this location must have been chosen for the name of the street "du midi". The tables are sometimes pushed together, much to the dismay of customers. We were served quite quickly. People talk loudly because there is no music to regulate everything. Canteen atmosphere for local employees. Plates too loaded. No customer can finish. As always, I take the time to chat a little with the manager. He is friendly, we can see that he loves his job. Big inconsistency all the same: he is "100% Parisian by origin" he admits to me and to clear himself he explains to me that the man in the logo really existed and was born in Aveyron. He does not know if Aveyron is really in the South-West. I get a little angry with humor, we debate on the subject. When I leave I leave with a tense smile wondering where I have gone because the manager does not seem to know the S-O AT ALL
GASTRONOMIC REVIEW:
Landes salad served in a large, overfilled saucepan
Undecided served in a deep plate too full, toast too big
No one manages to finish so a lot of waste thrown in the trash
There are bones in the gizzards I have never seen that BE CAREFUL probably from the cheap can
I did not like
Too oily
Not seasoned enough And why was there no vinaigrette, even on the side?
The glass of Meridian red wine was nothing more. I would have preferred to see the waiter fill my glass so I could have seen the bottle because the manager didn't seem to know that much about red wine (a treasure of the country though! !) so I even doubted whether it was a good wine that I had been served
Dessert, the croustade tempted me but unfortunately I had no more room. I'll make one at home too bad.
For once I'm really going to give my doggy-bag to my dogs because I didn't like it. In addition, I will have to remove each little piece of bone myself.
GOOD POINTS:
The decoration
Warm welcome.
NEGATIVE POINTS:
They are not from the S-W and do not seem interested in it.
Poor quality ingredients
Excessive price
Space too small compared to the number of customers
Meal too large = waste
SUMMARY:
Here they favor quantity over quality
Office canteen atmosphere in a restaurant chain
Souvenir museum
Very poor value for money
If you like to eat like a pig and spend lavishly, go there
If you like haute cuisine with quality local products, don't go there
For my part I will come back to it if a breath of improvement is made
ADVICE TO THE MANAGER:
Expand the restaurant
Improve ingredient quality
Reduce your quantities
Lower your prices
Add music from SW
Go travel to Aveyron, taste their Aligot on a farm, try their famous Chef BRAS restaurant
Learn about wines or hire a sommelier
Show the bottles to your customers
We don't joke with the gastronomic and wine terroir of the South-West

Very good value for money, smiling staff, copious and very good dishes! We will come back with great pleasure to try the other recipes!

02/04/2024: Very nice little corner in the shopping center. The coffee is good and very reasonably priced, and topped off with a little cake!
It's nice, especially since that's no longer the case in most of the surrounding cafes where it's just a sugar and that's it! The waitress was friendly and the place was clean.
Macarons, pastel de nata, madeleines... not tasted

27/03/2024: I stayed in this beautiful hotel for training as part of my work, I was very well received by the receptionist and the assistant manager, two very smiling and attentive people, the two ladies at the breakfasts they are at the top with their smile and availability,
I loved the entertainment organized every day, the pressed juices and the homemade pancakes… very clean room, pleasant seminar room with break and welcome coffee service and even a coffee and tea machine available throughout the day. the training (2 days) basically nothing to say go for it you won't be disappointed... ah yes the buffet restaurant from starter to dessert just delicious...

11/03/2024: It was raining today and I'm freezing. I go to the restaurant and ask for a hot dish. I was given a delicious, hot chicken couscous with chili. I had been saved. Thank you so much !
01/03/2024: My experience at the cafe was very disappointing. While waiting for the red light in front of the store, I received a phone call, which took no more than a minute. There were no other customers outside, but the owner suddenly asked me to leave, claiming that the umbrella was only for customers, then put it away, showing obvious hostility, and immediately opened the umbrella after I left. This lack of politeness and respect for others is unacceptable. Even as a potential customer I cannot tolerate such an unprofessional attitude and unpleasant attitude. I hope the cafe owner takes the time to think and improve his service
