13/09/2024: The restaurant offering in la Rochelle is huge and there are certainly many good and very good restaurants. We were looking for oysters and fish dishes and found a pearl. André is special, we enjoyed the evening with friends.

05/09/2024: Taking the order quite quickly despite the crowd when we arrived. It's after that everything goes wrong 😡. 1 hour 20 minutes to be served!!! Lower quality mussels and hastily prepared plates. Not even worthy of a canteen, Unacceptable. Staff who say nothing about the difficulty of serving in a reasonable time. And the icing on the cake, when paying the bill, the manager who doesn't look at us when we express our dissatisfaction.
Restaurant not recommended!!! Trap tourists.
01/09/2024: More than an hour of waiting for uncooked potatoes and hearing the waiter say it's a mess in the kitchen I think we should tell the customer that there might be a wait instead of having to wait without understanding

15/09/2024: Stayed in the village in a gite with family. This place became our “local”. Visited near daily, whether for a quick coffee after the morning trip to boulangerie for our croissants to take home, an afternoon drink on the terrace, or a fabulous, simple homecooked meal, where the chef Nathalie catered to our every whim. Most welcoming owner/chef to our family of six!
Enjoyed Charcuterie, Steaks (cooked perfectly to our liking), beef in red wine, fried camembert, and local wine, Pineau and Seve 😍
Thank you and we cant wait to ever visit that part of france again so we can come to you again!

01/10/2024: We only went to the restaurant. It's clearly a tourist trap. 20th the Burger, the fish without flavor, the children's formula, not great but we could have actually asked for more details, its fish fillet bathed in sauce (having tasted it, I didn't even want it). Unpleasant welcome. Go your way, walk a little more and you will find other restaurants that are friendlier and better located.

23/09/2024: Pas ouvert à l'heure. Serveur/gérant sale, je n'avais jamais vu un serveur avec littéralement du sang sur la main. C'est un self service et donc cher pour cette absence de service. Question hygiène, ça laisse à désirer. Je n'y retournerai plus.
20/09/2024: Nous avons l'habitude de venir chaque année. Nouveauté il faut commander au comptoir, chercher sa commande et débarrasser. Les tarifs sont élevés mais rapport à la vue je pense. 6 euros un cappuccino par exemple 😱 un peu déçu par l'accueil. Ce café n' est plus ce qu'il était.. .

17/09/2024: Were here for the second time today to eat. Price performance tip top. All staff very nice. We've eaten much worse in France for a lot more money. Everything fresh from the oysters to the St Pierre really isn't bad. The first time we just wanted to have a drink, but because it was so fun we stayed for dinner and reserved a table for the next evening. We'll definitely be back.
17/09/2024: We came at the beginning of September. We were very well received, the service was fast, polite, urgent but without being disturbing, no complaints. We ate very well for a more than adequate budget. We will come back.

22/09/2024: prise en charge de la clientèle rapidement. Rapidité du service correct, avec un serveur à l'écoute. prix correct cuisine simple mais bonne.
18/09/2024: Un peu plus 17€ pour un petit plat de moules (minuscules !) au curry, mais il serait plus exact de parler de sauce au curry agrémentée de quelques moules ! Et les frites on n’en parle pas , recuites et grasses.
Et la serveuse qui se fait apostropher vertement par le patron ou le collègue, devant les clients , pas terrible comme ambiance.
Nous n’y retournerons jamais .

12/09/2024: We want to leave our opinion with my partner because 1 year after our visit to this restaurant we are still talking about it..
We ordered a starter main course and dessert and what can we say...yes it's not expensive but the dishes are not very tasty without mentioning the service where the employee complained about the restaurant and to finish it all off the cook with his ponytail had a questionable or inappropriate behavior with my partner when she wanted to go to the toilet.
I suspect that pretty girls don't roam the streets there but hey..

15/09/2024: Too bad that in September we can't eat pancakes without disturbing the staff 😱😱 no reception and waiting without someone coming to take your order and a little thought for the waiter from the kitchen not before 20 minutes for the people so after reflection you leave.......without eating crepe it shows that they no longer need money the tourists have passed 😱😱
14/09/2024: 5 cocktails €65 with no effort and no resemblance to the photos on the menu, can we call that theft? I believe so.

26/08/2024: I ordered a kebab (7€) with fries (+1€) and drinks (+2€).
The service was very fast, I liked the bread which was good and different from other kebab breads.
However... The kebab was not very good and the fries not good. Then I woke him up in the middle of the night with a terrible stomach ache but it passed quite quickly.
Normally I wouldn't recommend, but unfortunately it's the only kebab in Chatelaillon
20/08/2024: We had hot dog, fries and drinks menus for €10. The hot dog was garnished, the homemade fries were in quantity. Good welcome by a young man. We recommend!

Produits de qualité, on choisit exactement ce que l'on veut et la présentation est top. Que du bonheur!
Vivement notre prochain séjour à St Palais pour un nouveau plateau de fruits de mer

11/08/2024: Ce n'est pas un restaurant! C'est du genfoutiste...hormis la pauvre serveuse qui se démène comme elle peut....à éviter, faudrait lui trouver un autre boulot à cette seule professionnelle.
07/08/2024: Aujourd'hui mardi 6 août 2024, la police municipale vient de faire fermer ce restaurant.
En effet, en arrivant, nous avons remarqué qu'une voiture de la police municipale était garée juste à côté, et que trois agents de police entraient par l'arrière du restaurant.
Nous ne nous sommes pas plus inquiétés que ça, et nous nous sommes installés en terrasse.
Nous avons attendu un bon moment, et c'est lorsque nous nous demandions quand nous pourrions (enfin) passer commande, que la serveuse est arrivée. Elle semblait complètement perdue. Elle nous a dit : "euh... On ne va pas pouvoir vous servir, parce qu'on a un problème à l'intérieur..."
J'ai pensé à un soucis technique, et je m'apprêtais à lui répondre que nous ne voulions que deux boissons, mais elle a enchaîné en déclarant "la police nous demande de fermer le restaurant immédiatement, mais je ne sais pas pourquoi".
Mais bon, en lisant ce soir les autres avis, j'imagine que cette décision ne dois pas être étrangère aux très nombreux avis qui font état de problèmes d'hygiène...
Bref, nous sommes partis prendre un verre à une autre terrasse toute proche, et quand nous sommes re-passés, le personnel était effectivement en train de plier tables, chaises et parasols...
Affaire à suivre...

03/07/2024: Not a warm welcome. We ordered a charcuterie board to share for €18, we ended up with supermarket charcuterie with a poor little square of President butter, we expected better. My friend's dish and my starter ended up being exactly the same thing but under a different name and much more expensive. 160€ for 4 with such quality, I would have preferred to eat at home.
