18/10/2026: Very disappointing. The shepherd's pie wasn't even browned, the fries were barely cooked, and there wasn't even a sauce to go with the fries or even the fish croquettes—and by the way, there were only five croquettes! The salad was bagged with practically no dressing! I had to ask for water and bread (white, of course, barely cooked, otherwise it wouldn't be any fun). The one in Mâcon is much better! I won't be repeating the Léon Villefranche experience!

16/10/2026: We had a reservation for 7:15 pm and arrived at 7:00 pm. Our order was taken quickly, but that was the only quick thing that happened all evening. While the dining room was filling up and tables that had arrived much later were being served, we waited 40 minutes without any sign of our order. A waitress finally became concerned and came back to tell us that our order had simply never been sent to the kitchen. We were then promised we would be served within 10 minutes. As "compensation," we were offered a plate containing four pieces of bread and a little rillettes. Considering this more of a simple appetizer than a genuine gesture of goodwill, we asked if a discount on the bill would be possible. The waitress flatly refused, stating that she was "already making a gesture" by offering us the appetizer. At 8 p.m., one hour after our arrival, we still hadn't received our food. So we decided to leave without eating. Luckily, we went to a restaurant right next door where we recounted our misadventure: the welcome was very warm and the service impeccable.
