Le Tipaza
Villefranche-Sur-Saone
10/09/2026: Excellent restaurant, I highly recommend it!
08/09/2026: Couscous!!!
Three meats!!! That's a lot.
Very, very generous portion. Luckily, you can take home what you don't eat.
The "mechoui" isn't like in Africa. It's not cooked over a wood fire but in the oven. It's much drier, less juicy...and doesn't have that "wood-fired" flavor, which is a shame...but regulations in France are killing "good taste."

Au P’Tit Bistrot
Villefranche-Sur-Saone
28/02/2026: A particularly friendly welcome, but also a fantastic meal! The starter, the Egg Cocotte with Auvergne Blue Cream, was truly delicious. The Beef Tartare was tasty but also presented with care. My wife had a Cabillaud on a bed of ratatouille and had to think long and hard about when she had ever had such a delicious meal. For dessert, we chose the Crème Brûlée, which we hadn't encountered in years. In short, highly recommended!
02/02/2026: Perfect little lunch break! Great welcome, excellent food and great prices! We recommend it 100%!

Wengue Lounge
Villefranche-Sur-Saone
04/07/2026: We had a wonderful evening at Wengue Louange, with generous platters of both savory and sweet dishes. Thank you to the whole team.
02/06/2026: No (bad) surprises for a meal with friends. It's a shame the menu is lacking, even on Monday at lunchtime...
Nevertheless, it's a good place to eat.
