05/08/2026: A wonderful discovery! The terrace is a real bonus: nestled in an open courtyard, it remains pleasantly shaded, which is very welcome in the summer. The set menu was excellent, featuring a homemade terrine with delicious homemade bread, a perfectly cooked duck breast with a flavorful jus, and a praline tartlet for dessert—simply superb. The service was also top-notch: welcoming, professional, and attentive from start to finish. A truly excellent restaurant that we highly recommend!

03/08/2026: After reading the reviews, we went there on a Saturday at lunchtime with our two children, and one thing is for sure: we won't be going back. The duck tartare was at room temperature and inedible, and the waitress didn't even ask any questions when she took my plate. The children's menu consisted of very thin, extremely charred, almost black, hamburgers. Our only regret is not taking photos to illustrate this disaster. Only the pâté en croûte and the Duchess potatoes redeem this place, which could be fabulous.

01/08/2026: Passing through Villefranche-sur-Saône, we were looking for a nice place to have dinner with our dog, who couldn't stay in the car in the 32-degree heat 🥵. We found the Al Dente pizzeria by asking the AI. And we weren't disappointed with our choice, quite the opposite! A dog-friendly restaurant where our dog was greeted with a bowl of water before even being seated at the table 😉. Warm welcome, fast service, extensive menu. You can enjoy pizza, calzone, or pasta to your heart's content, accompanied by Italian drinks. For dessert, you can choose between ice cream with typical Italian flavors or desserts like panna cotta, tiramisu, etc. The result: main course + dessert + drink for 28 euros per person. Fresh and high-quality ingredients. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return if we're ever in Villefranche again.

Right up to the dance floor at the end of the night, the atmosphere was truly superb, thanks to an attentive and very friendly team!

28/06/2026: Small buffet restaurant with Thai and Laotian cuisine. Delicious spring rolls, great soup, and flavorful salads. We personally found the meat dishes a bit disappointing. The dessert was simple but very tasty. No terrace, but there is air conditioning inside!

28/02/2026: A particularly friendly welcome, but also a fantastic meal! The starter, the Egg Cocotte with Auvergne Blue Cream, was truly delicious. The Beef Tartare was tasty but also presented with care. My wife had a Cabillaud on a bed of ratatouille and had to think long and hard about when she had ever had such a delicious meal. For dessert, we chose the Crème Brûlée, which we hadn't encountered in years. In short, highly recommended!
