04/06/2026: This is a review of just the restaurant, as we weren't staying at the hotel.
On a dull, drizzly day in Ste Foy, we were struggling to find anywhere at all to eat. We came across the Victor Hugo by chance. What a great discovery! Charming staff in a place full of locals with a great atmosphere. They managed to fit us in on the last free tables. The food was good quality, but the most impressive thing was the warmth of the welcome. We were the last to leave as they closed after lunch and had a really good chat with the owners - such pleasant people. We would happily have eaten there again if we'd been staying nearby. Merci, monsieur et madame de votre accueil chaleureux.

28/08/2026: Five years later, I'm updating my review. Not only can you not pay by credit card, but you also can't buy just two or three chocolates individually. In short, you have to buy a large box, even if you plan to go for a walk afterward. Having such self-confidence and such contempt for your Parisian clientele is pathetic. I love your chocolates more than any others. But if you want to do B2B and stop bothering with retail sales, go for it :)
Regular customer and huge fan of your chocolates. The saleswoman refused to sell to me because my order was under €20 and I only had my credit card. Honestly ridiculous. Especially during Covid. Please, let us eat your chocolates.
04/08/2026: Since I was in Paris, I bought some Patrick Roger chocolates, which I'd always wanted.
While they're mainly sold in Japan during Valentine's season, they're more affordable in France. ✨
Their signature product, the "Demi-Sphere (Half Dome)," features vibrant colors and an ultra-thin chocolate shell. Its jewel-like beauty is truly captivating.
From their representative green "Amazon" and white "Sauvage" to their creative fillings using lime, yuzu, and other fruits, each piece offers a different flavor, which is another appealing aspect.

Je ne connaissais pas le restaurant le 8 , mais le nouveau remplaçant restaurant « Le Dix « sert une cuisine de qualité pour l’avoir essayé 2 fois ça vaut le détour

20/08/2026: We stay here regularly for an overnight stay, it is pretty, clean, the bedroom and bathroom are spacious, with kind, careful and gentle service. We had a lovely breakfast sitting in the patio with fresh croissants, pain au chocolat, jams, fresh bread, yogurt. All done with calm flair.

Une attente longue entre chaque plats sans dessert… dû à un service totalement inachevé par des poses cigarettes de l’équipe et de sa gérance, cela donne le ton sur le professionnalisme de la maison! Pourtant pas débordé par l’affluence
83€ a deux sans café ni dessert et seulement un verre d’apéritif.
Nous n’avons pas du tout apprécié, cet esprit nonchalant et baba cool…
