Les meilleurs restaurants en Vivario

15/10/2024: We made an unplanned stop at this hotel and had a very pleasant time there during our GR20! The landlady on the phone made our arrival much easier by having us picked up from the station (the hotel is 3km a little further up). Our triple room was a little dated in terms of decor but clean and spacious, we were able to benefit from the laundry and dryer service to wash our hiking clothes (big plus). The large living room, decorated in the style of an old mansion, is atypically charming, very comfortable and equipped with a stove, ideal for enjoying a warm aperitif! The restaurant menu is a little expensive but the dishes are well cooked and generous. Thank you for your welcome!

06/10/2024: Hotel in its original state, but it feels extremely good..we stayed 3 days following bad weather on the GR.. The manager and staff are very friendly, giving you good advice. Living room by the fireplace, generous and excellent cuisine, beautiful table. A 20/20 for the cleanliness of the rooms.

21/09/2024: This place was perfect as a break from the GR20. The staff was very friendly and treated my bad French with good humour. Room was clean and restaurant was outstanding.

19/09/2024: The room is a little old and dusty but the service was really very good, especially since I arrived late after my GR20 stage and I was taken care of very well. I also had a buffet breakfast which was great with a good choice of foods. Location-wise it’s a bit isolated.

06/09/2024: En montant vers Venaco pour rejoindre notre étape, nous avons traversé le petit village de Vivario... où un panneau avec inscrit "cuisine au brasero" m'a interpellé. Le soir, au moment de choisir un endroit où se restaurer, ce panneau m'est revenu en mémoire. Je n'avais pas noté le nom de l'établissement mais Google Street m'a permis de l'identifier. Déjà au téléphone, lorsque j'ai appelé pour réserver — tardivement de surcroit —, l'accueil fut chaleureux. Impression confirmée sur place ! Nous nous sommes régalés d'une nourriture saine à base de produits régionaux et d'une délicieuse grillade... au braséro donc, cuite de main de maître par Jean-Pierre lui-même et en personne !

06/09/2024: Meat was freshly grilled but unfortunately there was not much beef on the skewer and it wasn't exactly tender either. Add a few leaves of lettuce and some potatoes. Together with a 0.25 cola and a double espresso for € 25,- Staff is nice and the coffee was very good I travel a lot around the world... I know what an island price is, but I've also eaten cheaper and better on islands... but also worse... So I don't recommend it, but I don't regret it either

26/10/2025: A very nice little bar in a beautiful village, visited on the road between Porto Vecchio and Ajaccio, descending from the Col de Sorba. I was naive enough to show up without cash, hoping to be able to pay with my card. They were very understanding. My apologies again, and I hope the transfer reached you. Have a wonderful autumn.
