Not stopping there would mean missing out on a great time. The staff is welcoming, the food is generous and excellent, and the prices are very reasonable.

We stopped at the Le Chalet restaurant, and the location is truly fantastic. The view from the top of the mountain is breathtaking and definitely makes the visit special. The food was rather average in our opinion, but perfectly fine for a stop along the way. People probably come here less for exceptional cuisine and more for the location, the view, and the opportunity to take a break high up in the mountain. We were traveling with small children and a dog. It's important to know that dogs aren't allowed inside, but they are welcome on the terrace. This was fine for us, but it's something to be aware of beforehand, especially if the weather isn't cooperating. The staff seemed a bit stressed, but were still attentive and friendly. Overall, it's a lovely place for a break with a great view, especially as a stop along the way. The food alone wouldn't warrant a star rating, but the location and the view definitely make it worth a visit.

Home-style cooking and a warm atmosphere, simple but very good.

Good charcuterie at a reasonable price, excellent Corsican soup, it's a real shame that a full typical Corsican menu isn't offered...

The chalet is a must-stop when traveling on the main road between Ajaccio and Bastia. Whether for a coffee break, a good meal, or even to pick up some charcuterie, it's a sure bet! We ate there recently and it's still fantastic. Hearty burgers, delicious brocciu lasagna... it's great! The service is also quick despite the crowds!
