12/03/2024: TO FLEE.... Still accepting reservations while they are under construction. You need boots to access the rooms. Above all, don't arrive too early, you won't be served a drink before 7:00 p.m. The restaurant prices are gastro prices..... They have a menu for €22 for lunch and dinner, but be careful not to expect to be able to benefit from it in the evening. The room: You have the impression of being in a hotel from the past century. Dust, stains on the sheets. small shower with curtain that sticks to your skin, etc. Breakfast worthy of a low-class hotel and above all don't ask for a fried egg, it's impossible and the boss blames you for asking and pulls your head. You eat to the sound of drills, hammers and excavators. We have never been so poorly received in a “hotel”. And to think that we had already been there several times... Received by a super nice server, that changes now. Currently on the run.

28/11/2023: Excellent food and drinks, friendly staff. Starter home-made soup, main course veal with potatoes, vegetables and dessert ice cream including cheese board. Nothing to complain about. Shower also available (not used). Small terrace for the summer. Parking with the truck at approximately 500m (on both sides of the village). Typical French restaurant/cafe, nothing to complain about.

01/04/2024: I stopped on the way back from vacation. I looked at the outside menu and was happy it offered fish it was just a mirage. I choose, they tell me that there is no more, I want to ask for the other, same thing. Angry, they explain to me that the card is changing. Yes and ? And when I suggest warning customers about shortages, they explain to me that if the restaurant did that it would lose customers and that their specialty is meat. I ask for a really bad soft-boiled egg. My waffle is served...cold. When I left, what do I see, there was my favorite dessert as a dessert but I was absolutely not presented with the menu of the day. I advise against

18/03/2024: It's been 36 years since I stopped at this address but now, restaurant to avoid since the change of ownership, exorbitant price 22 euros meal without coffee with 1.50 euro steak supplement. Aggressive boss when you point out the price and goes so far as to tell you to get out if you're not happy and admit that he probably charged you a drink (apero) that you didn't take without reimburse you. Too bad for the staff who have not changed but this establishment is doomed to closure. I strongly advise against it.

19/01/2024: We ended up here by chance on the way home from vacation, we were looking for a place to stay overnight with our motorhome. Here we found a small building that looked inconspicuous from the outside and was closed and, according to the board, wasn't supposed to open until 6 p.m. At first we thought it was winter break. Called to see if they were opening and to make a reservation. We were told it would open at 7 p.m. and we could come. When we arrived, we found a cozy little restaurant run by very nice people. Apparently they were only open for us, which we found unbelievable. There were few dishes, but very tasty. We can only recommend stopping by there once. Last but not least, we were allowed to spend the night in the private parking lot with our motorhome.

22/04/2024: Very bad food, starting with the appetizer, a sort of quinoa salad with raisins and mayonnaise... As a starter, the chestnut and butternut velouté, uninteresting. As a main course, I had a burger with the vegetable steak (soy). It's a real shame that with all the superb references of plant-based steaks on the market today, Courtepaille is incapable of serving anything but a tasteless soy steak. Also, the sauce in the burger was way too sweet. Finally, the potato: I didn't know you could mess up a baked potato. It tasted like boiled potatoes, but with a very hard crust all around. I came out having eaten almost nothing, with nausea to boot (from disgust). I still gave it 2 stars because I couldn't fault the service, it was fast and the staff were pleasant. In short, I don't recommend it, it's better to go buy something at the Lidl next door.
