14/05/2024: Two people. Access via a dangerous staircase, without really knowing if you are in the right place, decent welcome, but nothing more. Menu cards that do not correspond at all to those on the site and misleading photos, both in terms of presentation, quantity and variety. Almost all our choices were... not possible, we don't have any... Overpriced non-alcoholic cocktails!!! 1st lunch ✓good foie gras, tough rump steak, long meat with a lot of sinew, accompanied by a little Vittelote mashed potatoes that were too salty in an unsuitable container..., I reported the problem to the waitress, who without no shame says she will report it, but often out of 10 pieces there is always one like this... 😡, good cheese plate. 2nd lunch ✓ cooked egg with non-runny yolk and part of the white still gooey transparent with germ and all lukewarm (how is that possible?), overcooked, sticky Comté ravioli, the missed Comté sauce, certainly not fresh , for dessert I wanted ice cream, but only sorbets, so offered 3 kinds of cakes which were not appetizing and all with fruit, so dessert of the day... well presented profiteroles but that's it. there, because very hard choux pastry, tastes like cardboard and very cold, oh oh... with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, all with cold chocolate on top, an ☹️ excellent 😶 dessert arrived straight away from the freezer and obviously when we analyze these 2 lunches, we ate at Thiriet and again, they are better especially if we respect the defrosting!!! 😤When the bread was brought to us at the very beginning, it was impossible to cut it because it was still completely frozen and when we made the remark, we were laughingly told that the waitress was distracted, that she had the wrong basket, but it was indeed homemade bread ❗❓❗❓❗🆘⛔ This is really when looking for a real restaurant would have been in order. Note of 128€ and a few cents, without any apology or commercial gesture, at least one coffee, because again it's not possible to have a real cappuccino, they didn't have cream.😰 Ouch ouch ouch and good luck to people who make fun of passing customers who needed a little comfort having bad news when leaving the hospital. 🦀 IN PARIS, BORDEAUX, ARCACHON, ANNECY ETC we enjoy gastronomic places that are hardly more expensive and we return there with pleasure being respected with fresh products cooked on the spot. Too bad for your town of St Junien which is pleasant.

An incredible setting in which young and old will enjoy discovering the culinary specialties, enjoying the sound of the water, the animals and the green and rejuvenating landscape. There are also beautiful walks to take in the surrounding area. As for the cuisine, the plates are generous and the products are quality! There is something for everyone in this refined cuisine. The servers are welcoming and give very good advice. The place is warm and the decoration tasteful! With family or friends, you will not be disappointed!

11/05/2024: Family time in a setting synonymous with rest and serenity. We had lunch outside, in the shade of large trees. Everything is magnificent: the setting, the mill buildings, the park with the sound of the stream and the birds. Between meals, children can enjoy games: swings, playhouses, slides, etc. surrounded by animals (cats, dogs, ducks, chickens, donkeys, goats, etc.) that are really cool. Regarding the map, we all found what we were looking for on the map. It's not an extended card, but in the end, it's better this way because it ensures quality, homemade products. Hearty and delicious starter, simple but very good main course, simple and effective dessert too. Then a short walk around the mill, ideal for some family photos. In short, simple restaurant with good food in a magnificent location. To do again with the family for a good time!

10/03/2024: In a magnificent setting we were warmly welcomed to celebrate a birthday. The private room was very popular. The food and wines delighted all palates. A big thank you to chef Nélias David and the entire CASTEL de Glane team.
