01/01/2024: Extremely unpleasant welcome bordering on rudeness: avoid unless you like to be looked down upon and treated in a derogatory manner!! While we were visiting the surrounding area with my wife, we wanted to have lunch at the Balcon restaurant where there were several free tables. To our surprise, we were very poorly received there. When we asked if they were still serving at 1:30 p.m., we were told in a rather unpleasant manner that it was not possible to sit at a table. Surprised by the waiter's rude tone but having a long way to go, we asked if we could at least have a drink. We were told (always in a contemptuous tone) that the restaurant boasted of being a culinary establishment and that the answer was therefore no! While we were chatting with him, the waiter returned to his work mid-conversation without apologizing. You can imagine our amazement at such behavior. This gentleman may not be in his place in the restaurant business where friendliness and a sense of customer service are among the priorities.
