18/05/2026: We ordered cooked mussels, but they were served cold without any broth. We told the staff it wasn't their fault, but they didn't add anything. My husband has been sick since yesterday; this place is not recommended.

10/07/2024: If you like salad, Davy’s is the place. The Americana decor is way over the top but so what. My salad Nicole’s was something of a variation on a them, with rice replacing potatoes and tomatoes stuffed with goat’s cheese. The fresh Anchovies were delicious. My wife’s quiche Lorraine was a bargain at 6euros and served, yes you guessed it with salad! In another variation, the Corona beer is served with lemon! This was a simple lunch that was OK,cheap eats c.f. Other eating places

20/01/2026: As loyal guests of the Royal Emerald Hotel for over 10 years, we know the place well, and although we were staying there as a family for the Christmas holidays, we wanted to pay a visit to the Darling with our (grown) children on December 25th for a drink, around 6 pm. The bar was almost deserted, and there was a small sign at the entrance asking us to wait, which we did. However, a hotel receptionist suddenly appeared and informed us, in a gruff tone and with very little courtesy, that the bar was closed/reserved for hotel guests. We took note and were about to leave when an elderly couple, who had arrived behind us and heard our rebuff, approached the receptionist, explaining that they were regulars at the bar, and then immediately went inside to sit under the glass roof… One of my sons wanted to come back and make his presence felt, but we decided to go to the bar at the Grand Hotel Barrière, where this time we received a truly royal welcome and enjoyed excellent cocktails accompanied by small snacks… go there! In the end, we didn't regret the peanuts at Darling, and for a drink, take my advice…

08/09/2025: A very pleasant place. We've returned several times and have always been very well received. The staff is lovely. The setting is beautiful, and the cocktails are good. One small drawback: the food isn't up to par with the venue, and the prices don't reflect the contents of the dishes.

01/02/2025: Very good meat and excellent and varied prepared dishes. The only problem is the wait, too many people, but that's a good sign.

05/04/2026: A place that goes far beyond a simple “beautiful view”—although, it must be said, it probably offers the most stunning panorama of the Bay of Saint-Malo. Sunrises and sunsets here are simply remarkable, with light that completely transforms the landscape throughout the day. But the Dinard Priory also has a touching history. The estate now belongs to the Diocese of the French Armed Forces, following a bequest from Madame de la Mettrie, a former military nurse during the First World War. A widow without children, she chose to pass on this peaceful place steeped in history—a detail that adds another dimension to the visit. Just a short walk away, the Promenade du Clair de Lune (Moonlight Promenade) perfectly extends the experience. It’s an ideal starting point for exploring the coast or even embarking on a boat trip in the bay. From the water, you can discover the must-see sights in a whole new way: the Solidor Tower, the forts of Grand Bé and Petit Bé, and all the maritime history of Saint-Malo. Between heritage sites, the sea horizon, and a soothing atmosphere, it's a place that invites both contemplation and understanding. A must-see, whether you're just passing through or curious to learn more about the region.

25/08/2024: Belle expérience dans ce restaurant où nous nous sommes rendus 3 fois durant l'été 2024: l'équipe est souriante et agréable, le service est rapide, la cuisine est bonne et les prix raisonnables. Je me suis régalée avec le plat du jour qui était une tarte fine aux courgettes et aux épices, un vrai délice pour les papilles ! Nous avons également testé les galettes et le bagel au saumon que nous avons bien aimé. La terrasse permet de profiter du soleil !
