One small area for improvement: ensure that the number of appetizers served corresponds to the number of guests.
Six portions for four guests! That's a shame.

09/05/2026: Discovered this place this evening after spending the afternoon in Rennes, and it was a lovely surprise :) The setting is charming, we ate very well (the meat (beef) was very tender, flavorful, and truly high quality), and the waitress was incredibly attentive and absolutely lovely. It's well located, close to many shops and just a few minutes from Ikea. We'll be back!

31/05/2026: A warm and welcoming place where you feel at ease from the moment you arrive. The service is pleasant, quick, and attentive. As for the food, everything was excellent from start to finish. A truly wonderful experience; we will gladly return!
21/05/2026: Passing through Rennes on Ascension Thursday, we stopped for lunch, craving a galette and a crêpe, and stumbled upon L'Épi de Blé. We hadn't booked, but we were greeted with a smile.
We had a delicious meal and left very happy with our break. We'll definitely keep this address in mind for our next trip to Brittany.

30/05/2026: I went to this restaurant with my family. The heatwave was over, yet the chicken and cheese skewers were brown, as was the avocado in the sushi.
The cheese was spoiled, and everything seemed to have been there for a while except for the hot items.
When dessert arrived: the Tropézienne tart was dry, I'd even say stale. The small chocolate beignet was also dry, and the Paris-Brest was so hot it fell apart in my hand...
I had heard that this restaurant wasn't very good... I can confirm that now; it was my last visit.

25/02/2026: I don't know if she's a manager or someone else, but the little redhead with the bun speaks terribly to her colleagues, and then we're surprised when people burn out or refuse to work anymore. But from what I've seen with my own eyes among the staff, it's unacceptable; you can't speak to your colleagues like that.

27/07/2024: Accueil et mise en place rapide et souriant puis après attente très longue pour prendre la commande malgré les appels aux serveurs...viande annoncée 200g en faisait plutôt 120g et carbonisée; nous avons préféré zappé le dessert et partir très décus. Je ne recommande pas, allez plutôt à la crêperie d'à côté qui est excellente, elle !
25/06/2024: Accueil agréable, très long pour le service, nous étions en groupe. Kir en apéro, quantité minimale, Viande brûlée et dure autour du morceau, pourtant belle viande, revoir le mode de cuisson... frites correctes, dessert financier aux pistaches, trop dur, manque de moelleux.

14/08/2024: Cela faisait longtemps que je n'y étais pas allée et franchement cela est vraiment top.
Le buffet était bien garni et varié et il y avait des produits frais de qualité. Des pinces de crabes des bulots , deux types de crevettes vraiment bonnes, des langoustines des moules farcies et bien sur une gamme de sushis beaux et bons .pour le grill wok les petites brochettes de bœuf mozzarella que tout le monde aime, des coquilles Saint Jacques ( des vraies pas les imitations de surimi qu'on voit souvent ) des crevettes du poulet des champignons de Paris, des noirs et des légumes frais.
Vraiment idéal pour un repas familial il y en avait pour tous les goûts. Pour moi ce restaurant c'est un restaurant franco-asiatique car tu retrouves des plats typiques Français de l entrée, plat dessert.
17/07/2024: Excellent, les tarifs sont abordables pour de la très bonne nourriture.
Le seul bémol, c'est au niveau du nombre d'assiette que l'on doit utiliser.
Sinon, c'est parfait 👍
En bref, je vous le recommande fortement 😀
