26/08/2025: "Traditional cuisine," indeed, given the owner's attitude. A minor misunderstanding between a friend (who, incidentally, apologized profusely right away and without any ill intent) turned into a ridiculous conflict. Condescending remarks ("I'll teach you about life") followed by extremely unpleasant responses to polite questions during payment. The owner brought up the incident again with the same condescension and aggression even though we tried to calmly explain the situation. The tone escalated further, and threats were profuse (including physical threats, with an employee hiding an ashtray behind his back with the intention of hitting one of my friends), and then the owner became increasingly aggressive. A pointless argument worthy of the best reality TV shows over nothing much. This "good" man is absolutely not recommended, and this restaurant (sorry to the other employees who have nothing to do with it) is to be avoided at all costs. Deplorable. Simply deplorable.

23/08/2025: Jackie, the new owner, is really great! A very classy restaurant combining modernity and tradition. A warm welcome and perfect service with Leni's great attention. The cuisine really delighted us, very generous, refined dishes with great taste. 30/01/2026: Very disappointed by my recent experience. Burger prices have increased significantly, nearly 100% compared to previous prices. The new prices are displayed in the restaurant, however, the flyers still being distributed around town list the old prices, which could mislead customers when ordering. For our group, the bill came to €170 for 9 burgers and 2 fries, an amount we consider disproportionate to the quality of the food. This establishment is apparently bankrupt, which could explain these exorbitant prices. This restaurant had been a regular for many years, but given this experience and these pricing policies, I no longer recommend it. P.S.: Photos of the two menus before and after

13/03/2026: The music was far too loud for a 8:45 pm reservation. It's hard to imagine dining in a good restaurant, with the prices to match, without being able to have a conversation. At the very least, they should adjust the music, which was not conducive to a pleasant dinner. Alexandre, the waiter, was, however, very friendly and attentive! In short, we didn't stay.

18/11/2025: The owner is obnoxious, unprofessional, and unpleasant 🤮 in these comments. Who would explain why not mentioning a missing bottle on the bill would be incomprehensible for a biker (considering the price of Harleys!!)? However, the waitress "offered" digestifs, only to charge us up to €9 for them... left us with a bad taste in our mouths and we won't be going back. However, the food is good.

22/08/2025: A real precious gem. Out for one night in the labyrinth that is Alpe d’Huez, you want to experience something special, but be really comforted rather than shocked. Well presented, plentiful and delicious dishes. Lucky the waitress spoke some English, because our French was quite stretched by the Menu… Ordered a mix of steak and chips, plat du jour (chicken vol-au-vent), pasta, fish and chips and something different, which became my highlight as the mum who cooks at home and could use a break: the tataki de thon, now in my all-time top-2 dishes! Choice of desserts: mix of unusual and mainstream, just what you want for a special night. Welcoming host, the type of human you feel you could be friends with - not to be taken for granted in this day and age. Wish we went back to try the other things on the menu.

20/03/2026: Overall, we had a good meal. One complaint: the pasta with gorgonzola was extremely bland. The waiter was a bit condescending, but this criticism doesn't apply to his colleagues.

20/03/2026: Booked a table for my father's 80 birthday with my family. Took a while to get seated. Eventually we managed to order drinks which took an age to arrive. We all ordered food many of which had the special of the day which was a pichanna steak. This also took a long time. Steal was terrible. Non of it was cooked to how we asked and you needed a chainsaw to cut through it. Totally awful quality. Just another Fench mountain restaurant serving overpriced bad quality food. The one pizza we had was very good and the waiter was very friendly but thats about all the positives. It wasnt even that busy. Ive worked all my life in the snow sports industry and this is just another example of why people are looking for alternatives to the French alps.

31/03/2026: The absolute best pizza - no joke. I honestly thought I shouldn’t even try pizza in France… but I’m so glad I did. This place completely changed my mind. Everything was just perfect - super tasty, great quality, and done with so much care. The team (I think it was a mum and her daughter) were working like machines - so fast, super organized, and still incredibly friendly. Loved it. Would come back anytime!

12/02/2026: Dinner was very good, but spoiled by a seating arrangement for 14 people on a stormy night, right next to a door that really didn't work properly... especially since the restaurant wasn't full and it would have been possible to move us... What a shame...
