A l'Espérance des Grandes Rousses sur Huez

Great family vacations. The breakfast is amazing. The kids loved the swimming pool.

Absolutely lived our stay at the Grandes Rousses. The hotel was amazing, staff very helpful and the views were incredible. I’d say probably the best in the whole resort. We had a mezzanine room which was great for 3 adults and 1 child. Ski lockers are very convenient as is the standing ski lift that stops outside . We ate at both restaurants and the food was really good, as were the drinks and cocktails were so good! We loved going in the pool late afternoon for a post ski dip and again, incredible views of the resort! Can not recommend this hotel enough!

We took advantage of the spa access, a truly wonderful and relaxing break. The welcome was attentive, the explanations clear, and the wellness area complete (bath, sauna, hammam). The option to extend this moment on the terrace or in the lounge with a cocktail was a real plus. An experience that makes you want to discover a stay at the Grandes Rousses Hotel.

We booked a one-night stay at this hotel. The welcome was friendly, the room quite lovely, and despite a few minor imperfections, very comfortable. The breathtaking mountain view puts a smile on your face as soon as you arrive. The spa remains pleasant and enjoyable, although depending on the time of day, this "relaxation" area can quickly become tiring as it can get crowded. The safety instructions (no one under 16 allowed), rules for using the sauna, and rules of respect are clearly displayed for everyone... A special mention goes to the staff who are always available, smiling, and helpful in all circumstances! We had a very good meal at the L'Espérance restaurant; the dishes were delicious, and the staff's consideration for our dietary restrictions was well taken into account. We wish the staff a successful end to the season and continued success.

A magnificent hotel in a superb location. This is our second stay here, and we have never been disappointed. The staff is exceptional and very helpful. The restaurant is excellent, and despite a slight reservation issue on our second night, they were able to find solutions to ensure we had a pleasant meal. We will definitely return on our next visit to Alpe d'Huez.

Some equipment not working in room - bedside reading lights, wall mounted hairdryer and no cable connection for TV in gym

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic; highly recommended due it location, restaurant quality, near by town center and friendly staff. Special thanks to Clementine for all the valuable support provided and guiding us during the stay, Ski & Dog sledding were Superb!!

We were very impressed with the hotel, mainly due to the friendly and helpful staff and the food quality in the evening. The staff on reception were all really friendly and too were the staff in the restaurant. I think this was the part that made the stay the most enjoyable. We ate in the hotel one evening and the food was great. It wasn't a large menu so its worth just checking the menu first, but what we ordered was lovely. The only issue was that the portion sizes were quite small. The breakfast was OK, I'd score the breakfast about a 6 out of 10. Just your standard breakfast options which were a little limited. Would have been better with a larger option of cooked breakfast items. We didn't like the small chicken sausages or the scrambled eggs, and the boiled potatoes in the pot labelled "Hash browns" was a bit disappointing ;) . Would have much preferred proper sausages and an option of fried eggs. The location and hotel was quiet, which was nice. The bed was very comfy. There was a gondola right outside the hotel to the slopes and you could ski / snowboard right back to the hotel ski locker door. Overall we enjoyed the stay, were made to feel very welcome, and we would (and are planning on) visiting again.

We made the most of our stay in Alpe d'Huez. The welcome was excellent, as were the service and the comfort of the rooms. We also enjoyed the food and service at the hotel restaurant. As for the location: Everything is close by.

Stayed here with my fiancé and a couple we are friends with with for tomorrowland winter. We absolutely loved the place, the views are heavenly, the staff couldn't help you enough, the location to everything is perfect and most of all the hotel is gorgeous. Couldn't recommend enough!!!!
