03/04/2026: Not particularly drawn to the storefront, which desperately needs a renovation, I was swayed by the reviews.
But overall, I was disappointed with my experience.
First of all, how can anyone be so unfriendly? The waitress made no effort whatsoever. She spoke curtly, and politeness was clearly not an option. I felt like I was bothering her... if that's really the case, perhaps she should consider a different line of work. As for the meal, well, I won't even mention the ridiculously small portions of soup and cabbage... let's just say that's part of the deal when you order this type of set menu. The fish (sashimi)... the tuna was soggy. Yes, completely waterlogged. As if it had been thawed in water. Very unpleasant. The other dishes were better, but the textures were still rather unpleasant.
Disappointed by this restaurant. I paid my bill and left. I will not return there, and next time, if a storefront does not give me a good impression, I will simply walk on by.
14/03/2026: We often order delivery. We've always been satisfied. Nothing is ever forgotten in our orders. The delivery driver is always very pleasant and kind during deliveries. The food is really very good, and we're always fans with every order!

09/07/2026: An excellent spot in Liévin for Japanese food lovers. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious.
The fish is very fresh and the sashimi is served with great care. I particularly enjoyed the crisp green beans; they were a delightful side dish.
I will definitely be back. This is a must-visit for a quick and high-quality meal.

Strengths: clean restrooms, fast service, good kebabs and salad too.
Weaknesses: apart from the sea bream sashimi, the tuna and salmon sashimi were bland and tasteless. The soup was also really bland, even though we usually love it. A shame!
Good restaurant, but not the best!!

Edit: 10 years later, the quality has decreased, the prices have increased (yes, there's inflation, but still... the quality/price ratio has changed drastically).
04/07/2026: I love this restaurant. The flavors are delicious, fish or meat, everything is fresh. For me, it's one of the best Japanese restaurants in my area.
Admittedly, the prices are a bit high, but ultimately reasonable compared to other, less good restaurants, especially considering the portion sizes. Generous and flavorful dishes. It could use a bit more chili, in my opinion, but people in the North don't really like it that way. I tried the takeout tonight, it was amazing! The food was piping hot, the website is super cute and easy to order, I arrived a little early and everything was ready. It's my favorite Japanese restaurant in the mining region ❤️❤️❤️

14/06/2026: Losing its edge. The food is still very good. However, the welcome, service, hygiene, and atmosphere have all declined. It's a shame, as it used to be a great place to eat well, quickly, and cheaply.

We were big fans of this restaurant a few years ago. Huge disappointment. The service isn't the same anymore. The hot towel they used to provide is gone, the chopsticks are disposable, the drinks are overpriced even though they're just 2-liter bottles of soda with no flavor, and the maki rolls are so full of rice that you risk choking with every bite.
We were charged an extra €8 for three measly, unfinished maki rolls (which were actually just rice balls) and half a spring roll.

16/12/2024: Small restaurant whose front can grow back but interior decoration which immediately immerses you in the land of the rising sun. A well-stocked menu, lots of choice. Server not very smiling but courteous. Very good dishes except the mochis which were dry and unappetizing. Correct prices. Avoid the toilets....a horror!!!!
06/12/2024: We always enjoy coming to eat at Osaka Pluies, whether for the fast and pleasant service or the delicious dishes. There are also a lot of vegetarian options which I really appreciate.
