05/03/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant because everything about it is perfect: the pleasant setting, the impeccable service by a small team of attentive and caring young waitresses and waiters, the very reasonable prices (€16.90 for the set menu, €1.50 for an espresso, a rarity these days), and above all, the essential element: simple, delicious, and absolutely perfect cuisine. Also worth noting is the excellent wine list. A wonderful discovery along my travels.
21/02/2026: The food was good but very small! My sweet potato mash was a mere three tablespoons. My husband's beef was the size of a child's meal! I looked at the other plates, and some were more generously portioned (even though it was the same menu!). We left hungry! What a shame!
We voiced our concerns, and the chef replied that the meat shrinks during cooking! Seriously?!
Very disappointed, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're hungry!

06/10/2025: A truly blissful moment in Contis-Plage!
On our GR8 hiking trail, we stopped in Contis-Plage for a simple lunch break... which turned into a delightful moment.
From the moment we arrived, a welcoming, friendly, and attentive welcome enveloped us like a summer breeze. The team is quick, approachable, and exceptionally kind.
The dishes are simple yet elaborate, bursting with color and flavor, a true feast for the eyes and the taste buds.
The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and the setting, nestled between the ocean and the pine forest.
You can sense a wonderful collective spirit here: the staff and management take the time to come and chat, to make sure everything went well, with a sincerity that warms the heart.
A charming and light-filled stopover that I recommend without hesitation to all travelers in search of a little humanity and real flavors.

11/11/2025: A really nice restaurant, ideally located, with friendly and attentive staff. Reasonable prices.
I was expecting a wider selection of fish dishes, being by the sea… but we had a good time.
29/10/2025: 30-minute wait, cold burger, cheap frozen fries, bad salad and sauce, avoid this tourist trap, they should find another line of work

25/02/2026: We received a very warm welcome from the smiling and friendly owner. The food was excellent, typical of the Landes region, with generous portions and good value for money. The atmosphere was lovely and the setting pleasant.
We were the last customers in the restaurant, and they offered us the dessert of the day on the house.
I highly recommend it.
05/02/2026: Fresh produce, homemade food, very good and generous portions, friendly service, a great place to stop off the beach. I recommend it.

01/01/2026: Booking made for summer 2026, we can't wait to discover this little corner of paradise we glimpsed during the All Saints' Day holiday.
I'm leaving a review for the booking because we have a (rather large) motorhome and I wanted to highlight the professionalism and dedication of the staff, as they were able to adapt and find a solution.
We know in advance that we won't be disappointed with our holiday.

30/11/2025: A fine campsite in itself. Good location near a beautiful beach with high waves. However, there was typically French, noisy entertainment in the evenings. We wouldn't have needed that. There were too few toilet facilities. At one point, half the showers were broken, which made matters worse. It took days for the problem to be resolved.

14/09/2024: Alors que le pizzaiolo se démène pour nous concocter de savoureuses pizzas ces dernières attendent que la serveuse se décide enfin à les porter à notre table pour que nous les dégustions ... froides !!! Mais pas de soucis pendant ce temps, le spectacle est dans la salle : un groupe de jeunes roule ses joints à la table voisine et se rend dans les toilettes pour les consommer !!!
11/09/2024: Nous avons passé un super moment en famille, table vue sur les cuisines, ce qui offre un spectacle distrayant pour tous les sens et une convivialité spontanée.
Sans prétention, cette petite adresse nous a régalés de par sa justesse de saveurs, alliant une cuisson au feu de bois parfaitement maîtrisée d’aliments sains et simples.
À recommander sans hésiter!
