17/07/2026: Huge disappointment! We spent all day digesting our lunch (you know, those unpleasant aftertastes). I find it very hard to understand how a chef can send out such unappetizing dishes. He'll probably tell you he's working with what he's given. First of all, how dare he prepare fries like that? He needs to take some training. So, even if the chef is usually good, in this establishment, he isn't. Furthermore (because if management also allows such poor quality food, they must not be very demanding), the waitstaff are physically present, but that's all. There's a serious lack of smiles, friendliness, etc. Are they young? For me, that's no excuse. They need to be taught. As you can see, this is a tourist trap in all its glory, where management will complain about the staff, and where the staff are undervalued.

29/05/2026: What a fabulous hotel!! A peaceful place and a building full of charm. Everything was perfect for our short, relaxing getaway. A comfortable and modern room. A splendid swimming pool in a lush and tranquil setting. The restaurant is excellent, with refined, seasonal cuisine made with fresh ingredients and great value for money. All the staff are attentive and lovely! I highly recommend it!! And we will definitely be back!

01/08/2026: We'd barely arrived when they pounced on us, wanting to know what we wanted to order. We asked for the ice cream menu and ordered immediately. A waiter and two waitresses were milling around, clearly unsure what to do. I asked them to change the ashtray, which was full when we arrived. They did change it, but judging by the young woman's expression, she wasn't happy. So, we waited for our ice cream. The waiters continued milling around on the terrace. Disgruntled customers left because they still hadn't been served. After a twenty-minute wait, we did the same. I won't be going back anytime soon.

23/08/2026: The ultimate ice cream experience! La Fraiseraie is a gelato institution. Their natural fruit sorbets and ice creams will delight all ice cream lovers. You'll find every type of flavor, from simple vanilla or strawberry to rum raisin and salted caramel. My recommendation: try them all, you won't be disappointed! After your visit, you'll never look at ice cream the same way again.

22/08/2026: The ice cream is very good. I don't understand why the establishment doesn't provide bins for customers to dispose of their waste. Only the municipal bins are available.

15/06/2026: We ate at this restaurant (one of the few open on Mondays) during a stop in La Bernerie. There were three of us; two of us ordered the savory crepes and then ice cream. The crepes (La Bretonne) were good and the portion was generous—everything you could expect from a crepe, really. However, one of us had ordered the set menu. What a mistake! The buffet starters were clearly supermarket products. The fish of the day was supposed to be a salmon fillet. Imagine our surprise when we discovered a gray salmon, swimming in a bath of cream and raspberry vinegar to mask the (nonexistent) taste of the fish. The texture was mushy; having all three tasted it, we suspected it wasn't fresh. The waitress (who was very kind and raised the rating to two stars) assured us that the salmon had been fresh that morning and offered to replace it. Well, no comment. Our friend didn't dare take the risk. And then the five grains of rice that came with the dish were enough for him. Then came his dessert, the three-cheese plate. Two of the cheeses were still wrapped in their original Président packaging, precariously placed on a sad little lettuce leaf. Ouch, what a meal.

19/05/2026: Family lunch, excellent value for money. Simple but well-executed cuisine. It's a shame the salads on the buffet weren't homemade, otherwise, no complaints. Pleasant and friendly service.
