Creperie Fromentine & Sarrazin
Blainville-Sur-Mer
30/12/2025: The leg of lamb and the sausage and fries crepe were absolutely delicious!
So comforting in winter, can't wait to come back when the weather's warmer ☀️🌊
16/12/2025: The mussels in cream sauce and the oysters were very good.

Le Grand Herbet
Blainville-Sur-Mer
16/03/2026: The place was full, so we just had a coffee leaning against the counter.
The waitress was friendly and smiling.
The place is crowded, so it's best to make a reservation to eat there.
The atmosphere is nice.
16/03/2026: We went for drinks to celebrate the reopening and ordered drinks from the menu, but they didn't have them (no signature cocktail, no Picon beer). Frankly, it was very mediocre for a reopening, very disappointing. Plus, it was noisy. So we didn't stay for dinner. It's all well and good to redo the decor, but shouldn't they also restock their supplies to be able to serve customers?

LE MASCARET
Blainville-Sur-Mer
13/04/2026: We enjoyed a dinner for two (three-course wine pairing) with overnight accommodation and breakfast. It was a mixed experience, so I'll divide my review into two parts:
- The restaurant:
Excellent, original, and delicious dishes. High-quality service from friendly and professional staff. A warm atmosphere and a tastefully decorated, modern dining room. Overall, an experience I highly recommend.
Excellent breakfast: varied and plentiful.
- The hotel: This is where things fall short… The "La Vie en Roses" room on the ground floor has large bay windows opening directly onto the restaurant terrace and then onto the dining room just behind it. Privacy is definitely lacking…
The decor is outdated, with flowers painted directly onto antiquated appliances that seem to have been there for ages and, more importantly, why. The noisy refrigerator kept us awake at night, and it had nothing to justify its existence, like a mini-bar.
The television cable, dangling in mid-air, is haphazardly concealed by a piece of fabric and elastic bands, which is decidedly unprofessional… And then, the pièce de résistance: the bathroom! Where to begin? Outdated decor, but above all, a completely shameful and deplorable lack of hygiene! I've attached photos where you'll particularly appreciate the mold in the shower tray and on the grout, the shower gel provided in a plastic container that looks like it was reused from someone else's bathroom, and the poor-quality shower curtain, angled to barely protect the rest of the bathroom from splashes since there's no proper shower tray! It's probably very practical for people with reduced mobility, but if you're not one of them, you'll be fuming at the prospect of a flooded shower. The sink was also outdated, and a special mention goes to the hand towel, which looked like it had been through a war (photo attached).
All of this gives an impression of dirtiness and superficial cleaning, making it extremely uninviting. It clashes dramatically with the elegant and convivial atmosphere of the restaurant, which is a real shame.
I should add that we were greeted with a sort of esoteric booklet whose purpose was unclear.
Furthermore, the twin beds were pushed together, which is rather inappropriate in a "luxury suite" for a couple... it's more like an Ibis hotel.
In short, we highly recommend the restaurant, but avoid the hotel itself!
07/04/2026: As a regular at fine dining establishments, the Michelin star is definitely noticeable, but the guide needs updating since 2009… the service is interminable. Coffee is €9… as a coffee lover, it's far from being a grand cru. A bottle of wine with a markup of at least 700% is ridiculous. The cheapest supposedly Michelin-starred restaurant is a complete rip-off. The gravlax was basic and bland, but the portion was very generous. The pork was overcooked, but the stuffed cabbage was excellent. The Jerusalem artichoke and chocolate dessert was nothing new. They've been resting on their laurels for far too long.

La Cale, France
Blainville-Sur-Mer
