Very well located, beautiful view of the beach. The food was good, but the service organization could be improved. Otherwise, very, very good.

[2026] We did it! The restaurant was open all week during Pentecost. Our first attempt on Pentecost Sunday failed (it was full), so we tried again on Tuesday at lunchtime and got a table. The staff is super friendly and the food is simply delicious. Mussels with fries and a galette with a sausage grilled over a wood fire by the fireplace. We were thrilled. Only water and lemonade were available to drink, but there is also a selection of wine and beer. [2024] Unfortunately, only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this little beach shack, which is a real institution in the region! The atmosphere was festive that evening with a jazz band playing. There's plenty of outdoor seating, as well as tables inside. That night, the tables were packed. We recommend arriving early if you want to enjoy the evening and the sunset. As for the food: it's simple, tasty, and satisfying! The service is a bit quirky, and the staff are friendly. We were able to park our van in the parking lot.

We really enjoyed our stay here. A bar with a beautiful view of the sea. Parking is available. Good coffee; the palourde are highly recommended.

No bookings permitted, queues to get in on a Friday so arrive at 6. Stunning views from an open plan rustic tavern style setting with in and outdoor shared tables overlooking the sea and oyster beds at low tide . Large portions of mussels; lamb or sausages cooked in the restaurant on an open fire, fetch and cut your own bread to mop everything up. Oh, the mashed potato with the addition of a splash of sweet wine for a twist is scrumptious. Incredible value

The place is sublime, right on the sand facing the sea, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. We ate well, with seasonal and local produce.

Amazing experience for us, it was our first time! We come from the north, which is something we don't have where we live! A real treat! An incredible atmosphere! We loved the warm and relaxed vibe! Thank you!

Le Grand Herbet

18/05/2026: A bit pricey for what's offered. A measly potato served alongside the fish dish... And the dessert... very mass-produced.
12/05/2026: A wonderful place, impeccable service, very welcoming, and the food was fabulous. Everything was delicious! We came to celebrate our beloved mom's 60th birthday, and it was a moment we'll never forget! The setting is simply exceptional, the dishes are excellent from appetizer to dessert, the drink selection is very extensive, and the staff is incredibly attentive. We'll definitely be back! Thank you, GH! ❤️

LE MASCARET

13/06/2026: Very good restaurant, very fine and refined dishes, but when we are offered drinks, they could bring us the price list to avoid surprises and the owner does not take care of people who do not order the tea that she absolutely wants to sell.
11/06/2026: We had known about this restaurant for a while but only had the chance to visit this past week during a recent trip to Normandie...and it was well worth the wait. Everything exceeded expectations: the setting, the service, and especially the famous cuisine of chef Philippe Hardy and the careful attentions of his spouse, Nadia, who deserve their hard-earned Michelin star with their distinctive and creative menu, hyper-local ingredients, and warm and welcoming hospitality. My husband and I are both musicians and found the whole experience like an exquisite, multi-layered composition, "une symphonie véritable des délices!," as we told Madame Hardy on leaving. We made our selections from two different menus -- and both were filled with delightful surprises, from the copious and delicious amuses gueules to the extraordinary bread ritual, with its rare smoked butters, salts, spices, and honey, to the perfectly proportioned entrées and plats, and beautifully subtle fish preparations, followed by discrete desserts (with possibly the best île flottante I have ever tasted) along with parting sweets. Amazing. For those wanting to extend the pleasure, there was also a Japanese tea ritual on offer, which we did not choose, but watched others enjoy, so it will be something to try next time. This restaurant, despite its extremely high standard of execution, was also surprisingly relaxed and unpretentious. It should definitely be on every list of "addresses incontournables." We cannot wait to return.
