19/02/2026: A very good restaurant in Oyonnax; the couscous in particular was delicious and plentiful. Excellent value for money. The service is quick, efficient, and friendly.

22/02/2026: Great food, great service, lovely restaurant. French cuisine, always fresh. You don't get a huge choice of meals or sides but that's part of the deal and of its charm. All of them yummy. Desserts are great. Very nice selection of wines too. Definitely recommend.

16/02/2026: Everyone knows that Bears only like the peace and quiet of the woods. Cities are a source of intense stress for them. Unfortunately, there are few good restaurants hidden away in the woods. Who knows why? So, this lunchtime, since my stomach had officially informed my brain of the absolute necessity of finding food quickly, I decided to brave the many dangers of the city and go as discreetly as possible to "Les Cocottes Gessiennes." And I'm so glad I did! Even a grumpy Bear quickly feels at home in this welcoming restaurant with its very friendly staff. To prevent me from feeding off one of the diners already seated in the main room, the chef showed me downstairs. An old cellar with a charmingly old-fashioned, family atmosphere. I opted for the set menu. The kind of menu you'd usually find à la carte: Eggs Florentine as a starter. A Mouse Tongue with fries as a main course. A tarte Tatin for dessert. A beer and a coffee to go with it. And just like that, my purse is about 27 Euros lighter... While my stomach is filled with far more than 27 succulent flavors that make me promise to return.

15/02/2026: Very good, the frog legs were a pure delight

06/04/2026: This was our second time eating at the restaurant, and we were disappointed. First, the children were supposed to participate in an Easter egg hunt (Easter Sunday), but after being seated, we asked how it was going and were told it was over. When it came time to order drinks, the children were forgotten; we had to place their order directly at the bar, even though the order had already been given to another waitress and never received. Then, out of 14 people, only 3 had ordered frog legs, and we only received a small plate, which I think was meant for two, despite the €7 supplement per person. The portions weren't enough... it's a real shame because the food is good. The service is too rushed and sloppy; the waitresses don't take their time, it's like a factory. They didn't even come around to refill the water or bread. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad if the restaurant turned down some reservations and took more time. It would certainly be quieter too. It's a shame because in a restaurant, it's not just the food that's important; everything else is essential for a good reputation. The value for money isn't there.

04/04/2026: Excellent restaurant, well worth the trip. We had a meal for a birthday party of about 15 people, and the portions were generous and delicious! Thank you for the wonderful meal. Take care.
