La Taverne du Westhoek

23/08/2026: Authentic French (Flemish) traditional cuisine in an unforgettable atmosphere!!!
23/08/2026: My parents introduced me to this traditional pub, which already has a great reputation on Google, and I completely understand why! The whole team gave us a wonderful welcome, with smiling, warm, and very friendly waitresses.
The pub transports you to another era, with all the objects hanging everywhere that give the place so much vintage charm.
The pork was excellent, incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth, and cooked over a wood fire to perfection.
With over 900 Google reviews, the establishment's reputation is clearly well-established, but I'm still giving it 5 stars! We will definitely be back for the food, the service, and the ambiance. Everything is there for a wonderful time. Well done to the whole team, it's a complete success!

29/08/2026: I don't understand, they don't even ask for our health pass, no checks at all, that's strange.
27/08/2026: We had a great evening, a special thank you to Nathanaëlle for her kindness, her smile and her welcome 🙂

19/09/2026: We were regulars at this restaurant, but on our last two visits in August, we were very disappointed with the food.
The first time, the steak tartare was very poorly mixed and severely lacking in sauce.
The second time, the pasta Bolognese was swimming in water on the plate, the sauce was tasteless, unsalted, and completely devoid of spices. I've never eaten such bad pasta in my life, and I'm over 60. It took my stomach three days to recover.
The problem isn't with the dining room, but with the food. Since then, we've gone elsewhere. It's a shame because we used to enjoy going there, but the quality of the food has really declined. I even mentioned it to the friendly waitress.
I hope things will improve soon.
