A fantastic place to visit, not only for the atmosphere but especially for the quality of the food and service. We had a wonderful meal! The staff is friendly and attentive, the carbonnade is delicious, and the wood-fired grilled rump steak is exceptional. A great experience that we highly recommend! Thank you for your hospitality!

The food is excellent, the staff are very pleasant and friendly, and the decor is beautiful and charming. We were a little cramped at our table, but we hadn't booked in advance; however, we were very well received. I recommend it 100%.

Originally from the Basque Country, we make it a point to visit this authentic Flemish tavern, located between Bergues and Wormhout, every year on the eve of the "Three Joyful Days." This tradition has continued for several years and has become an essential stop, introduced to us by friends from the North. While I'm not one for superlatives, I must admit that this establishment is remarkable. The setting is elegant, the decor tasteful, and the whole place exudes a warm and genuine atmosphere. In the kitchen, everything is homemade, with a true emphasis on regional specialties: Flemish carbonnade, potjevleesch, and of course, wood-fired grills. The open fireplace allows you to watch the dedicated chef at work, offering an experience that is both authentic and convivial. Before sitting down to eat, we particularly enjoy an aperitif at the bar, in a traditional, unpretentious, old-fashioned way (no measuring cups or spoons). Customers are always well catered for, with a complimentary amuse-bouche demonstrating a truly appreciated sense of hospitality. And what can I say about the welcome itself! It perfectly reflects the establishment: simple, warm, and genuine. While bonds have been forged over time, I share this feedback with objectivity and sincerity. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a convivial and generous experience. Here, everything is designed to make you feel right at home. All that's missing are the slippers! A delight from start to finish; the various staff members are all attentive & the owner is very friendly, welcoming and she manages the cooking of the meats over a wood fire!
