20/03/2024: crumpettes NORMANDY 2951 Notice pending big disappointment, probably a bad day A bad surprise, the stuffed morel as a starter was bland and very spongy, my husband enjoyed the skrei but it was really very strong. The choices of deer or squab meats are divisive, so I took the squid and cockles... but no more cockles! I don't know if that's what unbalanced the dish, but the white pudding stuffing of the squid was just weird, the black buckwheat sauce couldn't save the whole thing. My husband's fish of the day was very good (Barbue) but no particular innovation. Why such typical choices on a limited menu (89 euros)? Pleasant desserts improved the overall impression a little. To note positively -an absolutely delicious homemade mushroom bread served with a butter also flavored with mushrooms which saved my meal. A fireplace atmosphere in the living room before the very pleasant meal, but a somewhat gloomy room, almost empty despite the proximity of a family with baby and stroller. 09/03/2024: If you go to Bagnoles de L'orne for treatment, don't hesitate to walk a few kilometers to have lunch at the Maison d'Andaine. Copious, quality meals, impeccable welcome and service. An excellent address, in simplicity and conviviality.
